Sand world is in no way close to what i'm talking about. It's more of a web that any solid dome shape.

Moving on from all this, this still doesn't answer the question of how sasori's supposed to fight inside this dome. His strings are now disconnected from the puppets and he can't see for shit. He just crippled himself. By opening the dome, he made the point of it useless in this fight.
Whether or not he can or can't create the dome, he can't even fight properly with it.

However, there is hollow space between spikes. In fact, Satetsu Kaihou creates waaaay more complicated structure than simple dome. Cosidering that, and info given to us by Databook I see no reason why Sasori wouldnt be able to create a IS dome to protect him. But still, it doesnt mean he can win. Konan is indeed very troublesome opponent for him. .

In the new naruto game that's coming out Sasori was able to make a hollow sphere fight inside of it and the game is created by CC2 with the help of Kishimoto himself.

Actually its not. Sand world used magnetism to randomly branch off in multiple directions. In fact sasori had no control of how it would branch otherwise sakura would be skewered. A sphere has to be a thin sheet that's perfectly wrapped around to enclose all ends. Only gaara's been able to wrap sand so fluidly.

But anyway it doesn't even mean he can win like you said.
