she doesnt use wood release at all. she just controls the paper. Sasori, Chiyo, and kankuro manipulate wood puppets but that doesnt mean they use wood release.

you go girl tell that guy off

sasor, chiyo and kankuro manipulate wood however Konan can change herself into paper, she even produce paper to open the see inorder to trap tobi inside it

She didnt make those from her body though. She already had them made them from reg paper. She manipulates the paper just like the puppeteers. She just created her own jutsu into her body that allows her to change herself into paper.

An interesting thought, her paper powers always seemed rather silly. While I think you have a logical point, it seems like kishi pulls at least half of this stuff straight from his ass and smears it on paper. Sometimes it makes sense, and sometimes you end up with the gin-kin brothers. Or the deadly killing power of napkins.

At the end of the day paper came from woood and anyway u can make paper from wood.Ancient times ,colonial time and whatever other times did make paper with out chemicals or industrial processes

oh my god... you have no idea what you are talking about. Ancient "paper" was not made out of wood at all. In ancient times, and up until the industrial revolution "paper, " as we refer to it was not made from wood at all. It was either papyrus or thin, dried out animal skin. Papyrus is not made from a tree so there is no wood involved. the papyrus plant is more of a bush with long, thin leaves that were woven together. Once again, there was no wood involved in the making of the ancient paper like you say there is. And dont even bother arguing with me on this one, I'm a history major in college, I know what im talking about :)

Maybe, but I think it's just her own specific thing, not meant to go as deep as being a form of wood release. And it doesn't really matter what she has now since shes dead in the story anyways.

I think it's possible that she had a variation of wood release, but i think it's more likely that she just had earth release and a solid understanding of paper as a ninja tool.

There are varying degrees of mastery of each element type between each user, so it's possible that her paper jutsu is simply a lesser version of wood release, but... Konan didn't strike me as unskilled.

I think she was a skilled earth release user that used paper as a ninja tool to overcome some of the offensive draw backs to being an earth user.

Air release users can use air release to strike anywhere at anytime. Paper jutsu has some similar characteristics to earth jutsu, but it strikes like the air cutting jutsu's you see early on in the series.

nice theory though. i'll plus your rep for it.

I see what you are saying but it sounds to me like she makes all of her paper by hand. She spent ages setting up that one attack to use against tobi and she said it herself. I feel like she can only manipulate the paper and not create it. Sort of like gaara controlling sand

good job using spoilers. How am I flaming by explaining the way her jutsu works, with things that she's said?

Everytime I want to give you a chance and hope you'll make a good point you'll pull some BS like this. I've already dealt with enough thick headed people in this 24hrs and I will not be adding your troll thread to that list.

GL to ya.

How are we suppose to assume they are even using parchment instead of paper. The era in which the story is based is very confusing. Somethings are very old and yet they have digital technology shown sometimes with the display at the chunin exams for setting matchups and communications between the nations. They even have refidgeration. IMO it is modern paper that konan is using.

I agree with you, it probably is modern. I just said all of this because macho posted pictures of old paper and said it was ancient paper made purely of wood... which is completely made up lol. and i like to point it out when people use made up "facts" to prove their points.

Perhaps an advanced form of a transformation jutsu?

She can manipulate, produce and turn into paper

Yeah, pretty much. I don't really think it was meant to be a wood release though, more just one of those things Kishi left as "she can do it, you decide how". It was just to relate her abilities to her love of origami, not meant to be thought of any deeper than that.
