I did find it strange that her jutsu was never explained but I agree with Shikanaru that if it was a form of wood release it would be self defeating. I have absolutely no idea how she can completely dematerialize her body at will. Its probably a KKG.

paper is a man made object made from trees. Paper is not the same as wood, there are many chemicals and other things added in the process of turning wood pulp into paper. So in the end, paper isnt actually that similar to wood. so this is an extreme stretch

she doesnt use wood release at all. she just controls the paper. Sasori, Chiyo, and kankuro manipulate wood puppets but that doesnt mean they use wood release.
