Kishi's biggest mistake

In Naruto Part 1, around episode 85 when Itachi and Kisame went looking for Naruto, Itachi stated to Kisame that the both of them together couldn't take on Jiraiya so they both ran from him. This was Kishi's way of showcasing Jiraiya because it Jiraiya was still a new character at the time. I'm sure Kisame w/Samehada could take on Jiraiya so the fact that Itachi said that is ridiculous. Kishi has failed big time for having Itachi say that.

itachi said that because he didnt want to kill jman or hurt the leaf so he told kisame to back of with an explanation kisame wouldnt argue with to protect jman and the leaf

no no no no no, Itachi did this because his main goal is to protect konoha. Taking out one their strongest ninja wouldnt be good. Plus, fighting jiraiya too wouldve caused an even bigger scene which wouldnt have been good for his undercover work

And duhh Itachi wants to protect the village, that's why Pain waited to Itachi to die to attack Konoha because Itachi wouldn't allow it. Yes, I agree Itachi didn't want to draw more attention to other Leaf Shinobi because that would've been bad for him and Kisame

Jiraiya is indeed strong but he doesn't have what it takes to beat Itachi. This is all I need to say to persuade you Jiraiya fanboys, Jiraiya only took out the Animal Path(twice) and with the help of the toads. You guys know well that Itachi can take out a minimum of 4 of the Paths by himself.

OK now That is completely senseless. If Itachi were to object the attack in Konoha, then he cover would be blown.. I heard you knew everything there is to know about Naruto, then you must also know that when Naruto/Killer bee meet up with Edo itachi and Nagato: Nagato was surprised to hear the truth. SO if they knew Itachi loved his village then why would Nagato be surprised??

BTW Jiraiya is one tough character. It might not have been just for the sake of Village that Itachi ran away, he had already overused his MS and they were in the toad's belly. If it were completely sealed then They would have been trapped..:shrug:

i dont believe the he ran to protect the leaf thing. if that was the case he would have ran on a 3 on 1 fight. he ran because he knew it would have been a huge risk to take, espcially since his plan was for saskue to kill him in the end how would that look if jairya killed him.
