Personally i believe this is kishimoto's one major flaw, unlike Bleach and One piece. He chose to focus too much on the things that solely included the main antagonist and the protagonist. I am aware he focused on the shinobi alliance and etc. However i am referring to the start of the manga.
For example, when Tsunade said she couldn't afford to send jounins with NAruto and etc to go get sasuke.. he should have shown where those jounins were and the scale/scope of that situation and the effect by it..
Now you may say why is it a flaw? Because you see people tend to simply think the main things in that manga are simply happening around Naruto.. while that is not true. It wasn't until the Save Gaara arc, that "main" things started happening around Naruto. By the main things i'm referring to the MAJOR , IMPACTFUL things of the shinobi world, like the deals of the Kages and so on.
If Kishimoto had given time for that it would've been a grander manga than it is right now. Sure it would have had chapters of flashback like one piece, about characters that ain't the main protagonist or antagonist.. However, that is needed if you wish to put depth into the manga.
What do you think of this? Do you think his manga would have changed for the good or the worst?
