Team Gai as of right now will be given main roles in this war based on what this chapter portrayed.

Maito Gai will open up 8th Gates to stop Madara and will end up dieing by his Hand.

Tenten will somehow use the Sage tools to possibly stop Madara by either Sealing or striking him with her newly develop skills with her weapons or enhanced nature elements within her tools just like when she had her fans.

Note: The Nine tails chakra that were part of Kinkaku and Ginkaku are extracted out of the Sage Tools and now in Madara/Obito possesion as it shown in this scan below.

Rock Lee will most likely going Berserk after witnessing Gai deaths. Lee will potentially going full force on Madara. Gaara will be the one to stop Rock Lee from attempting to die. We will see more RockLee and Gaara tribute like the good ol days.

We'll get some Team Gai Backstory with Gai's death or Lee Rampage mourning over Neji and Gai with how Team Gai came to known and assembled the strongest Team Squad of Konoha11 and showing all these bonding moments with Neji/Lee/Gai/Tenten and Gai Rivalary moment with Kakashi.

Neji Reappearance!

Yes! I know I know that Naruto is going to be saved by Obito however It's too soon to assume Naruto is alive judging by the fact that Obito giving out Bijuu Chakra also with easily foreshadowed that Naruto will meet Rikuudo and become the Sage

I just would like to point things out since almost no one in this base seem to aware with possibility Neji reappearance based on what Hinata said in the VIZ Scan when she quote:
" Neji... Please Protect Naruto!! "

Neji will reappear with either meeting Naruto in the Afterlife and knocks him out from being dead giving power boost or we'll see Neji Spirit in the shape of a Phoenix like in Volume 64 cover.

Naruto happens to be among with Kakashi/Gai party a moment ago not till after Obito wrapped him up in the Kamui Dimension so maybe after reverting back to the same spot in the real world with Gai Party, Team Gai might encounters Neji Phoenix giving some moments for their developments and maybe even some Neji-Hinata bonding moments.

Not much of Team Gai when half of the team will be dead after this battle. Neji is dead and now Might Gai, that really isn't development as it is closing the book on them.

Gai is prepared to die, Gai even states that there's a time when he had no choice, he said you can't simply do everything your way. I don't see how people think he's not going to die when this chapter totally felt deep inside my heart and the dialoge indicates that

I fell that if Gai were to use the 8th Gate that Kishi would of shown him open the 8th on the last panel. that woulda been a good way to end the chapter

You mean in the next chapter?? I highly doubt it, I think he's gonna open 8th gate in the beginning of the chapter, but that would be cool if its at the end of next chapter

oh no i meant in the last chapter. I think kishi would of showed it in the last panel. but i hope we get to see the 8th!! gai in in my top 3 but i hope he dies, just too add more emotion and intensity

Team Gai is always my favorite team squad of the Hidden Leaf, I think they're the most badass despite Tenten being irrelavant, she's the only Konoichi who's so obssesd with weapons unlike other female characters who had huge crush with male character especially Sasuke -_-
