At the expense of making him look like the biggest sore loser in history.

i disagree. he was not a sore loser. are you forgetting that he had just lost his last brother? the mans human. obviously he was torn, and grieving. the last thing his brother (izuna) said to him was not to relent. he was obviously hurting. and then going on what hashirama has already said about the Uchiha 'curse' which stemmed from love, its in keeping with the story.

that, and the fact that if madara had joined hashirama, there would mot be a war arc in the way that it is currently panning out.

i dont blame him... however, obviously, maybe the cycle can end with sasuke, but who knows.. these revelations can make him swing either way...

I completely agree with the sore loser thing. His demand was slightly childish. Demanding someone else's death just so you'll feel better about your loss. Shame

I think Kishi wanted to show Madara's love and protection for his brother. I think Izuna's personality started to manifest within Madara. Madara was contemplating taking Hashi's offer, but Izuna told him don't listen to his bullsheet. So I think Izuna caused Madara to turn evil.

I did not forget that he lost all of his siblings. That's why I mentioned that they played by the same rules. There were loses on both sides of the fight.

Kishimoto ruined his own creation? Nobber. Madaras awesome, he grew from someone so caring into a cynical bastard.

Kishimoto simply showed us reality. All "Gods" are really just men and start out like everyone else, with family, friends and dreams.

See what happens look Kishi made Madara and gave Him a certain character and out look,Kishi is the creator not anybody else in her on the forum so stop acting like you created Manga and someone has change your story.

Madara was outnumbered everytime lol you expect him to win vs hashirama+ tobirama + senju... current madara would solo them so he got the last laugh.

Before the Fourth Shinobi World War Arc, we knew Madara as a god. He was one of the coolest characters in the manga. He was the most powerful Uchiha and second only to Hashirama. Now, I can only see him as a sore loser. When the flashbacks started, sure it was bad ass that he fused the Kyuubi and the Susano'o. It was cool when the Susano'o cut the Bijuu bomb. He seemed pretty decent as a kid but this most recent chapter ruined my image of him. I thought he would have remained true to his word and stayed friends with Hashirama instead of just walking off. After he leaves with his dad and Izuna we go forward in time and see him get owned time after time by the Senju. The last panel is what sealed the deal for me. Madara telling Hashirama to kill himself or his brother to be 'equal.' Hashirama and Madara played by the same rules their whole life and Madara just happened to be the loser. He reminds me of the one kid everyone knows who throws temper tantrums after you beat him in a game of Halo. Madara went from a the top down to the bottom of my list of great shinobi. None of his actions are admirable and his character is poor.

Based on what I just read, this all happened before Madara and Hashirama's final battle where he fused Kurama with Susano'o. I'm not really seeing how Kishi ruined Madara's image at all. You say HE got owned as if the Uchiha and the Senju weren't all fighting together. Izuna isn't stronger than Tobirama. And Hashirama was stronger than Madara back then. So things were unequal as hell for the Uchiha. The Senju as a whole were more powerful than the Uchiha clan.

You're upset that Madara just walked away, but what other choice did he have? He made the decision that he had to make. While Hashirama was his friend, his clan... his family comes before EVERYTHING else. He couldn't turn his back on his own clan in a time where they needed him the most. If you ask me, Madara was the STRONGEST shinobi in the Uchiha Clan based on Izuna being surprised that there was anyone out there stronger than he was.

If anything was disappointing, it was how pitiful the Uchiha Clan members were. To turn their backs on the now Leader who could've done the same to them when he was a child is pathetic. By the looks of it in the last two pages, Madara had to be fighting by himself against Hashirama and the other Senju, otherwise they all wouldn't be gathered around when Madara was lying on his back in defeat. I still think Madara's a boss and disagree with your statement of his character being poor. He went through traumatic experiences just like everyone else had to. He didn't act the way he acted because he was a sore loser... he acted that way because he felt as an Uchiha he was doing what he was supposed to do. Remember, he lost his father, and all of his brothers throughout that war... If you think he isn't admirable now, then what would you have thought if Madara allowed the deaths of his loved ones to be for nothing... all in vain?

How can people like villains that are bad just because?

The best, most realistic villains have a tragic past. Bad because it's fun is simply a childish way of creating antagonists.

I disregarded your opinion once you said "the best villains have a tragic past". No, that's called relying on the same archetypes if you know anything about literature. All kishi has to do is say a character lost their parents or lost a brother and that continues the same cycle. That does not give DEPTH to a character's personality or add anything of IMPORTANCE. It just is there to continue a trend so kishimoto can give them all the same motivation instead of elaborating on them individually. Kishimoto sacrifices the uniqueness and individuality of villains and semi antagonists all because he doesn't want to give them their own reasons/ motivations/moral views to become evil. Some people just don't agree with keeping peace with love, they feel only power will scare their enemies into being peaceful. Some people don't agree with the peaceful ninja system that creates certain favoritism towards certain groups of individuals. Some people prefer a dictatorial ninja system, some others believe peace create weakness and paves the way for terrorists to exploit the times they live in. Some others feel like it does not befit their heritage to make peace with the others, and they must remain separate from their enemies.

All of those reasons I mentioned are from amazing books, comics, and other stories where the villains ACTUAL MORAL VIEWS are elaborated on. They aren't simply evil because they LOST a friend or family member, those are only used by them as proof of their moral views being right. There moral views and reason are based on the everyday actions and mindset of the people they live with. Some see the peace as being a front for imperialism and their country must remain strong. See? Naruto does not have realistic villains and they are NOT better written. They all use one archetype which is loss of someone they love. Lame, I want to see what they actually think of the world, what their political and moral views about PEACE with enemies.

madara's image has been ruined by kishi, madara is nothing compared to hashi. Before these last chapters madara was always thought to be superior to others and had a boss ass image. But the real boss is hashi now

At the very last scene he had EMS already and still lost. Go back and check... Just saying

Did he now....huh.........I must have missed that panel......I thought is was just MS seeing as how Izuna still had his eyes in the battle.

Nope he did have EMS. However if you reread and look at those panels you'll notice Madara is clearly alone and outnumbered meaning he had to be facing off against Hashirama, Tobirama and all the Senju in those panels gathered around him when he's lying on his back after fighting against them for an entire day without rest.
