I don't really think that when a character that has a fan base dies, people stop reading manga. That's just a silly thing to say. I actually think that when a character dies (depending on the character and the situation), it makes a powerful move on the plot.

We agree that the manga is weak on character development, you summed it up pretty well.

yeah and didn't exactly say that if your FAV character die you will automatically stop following the manga, what i said is that more people will stop following it. meaning if there is 20 die hard kakashi fanboys and 30 kakashi fanboys chances are that 10 out of the 20 die hard kakashi fanboys, would stop following the manga due to the absence of their FAV character.

but obviously the other 30 would still continue watching it.

I truly don't care if any of the main characters die or not.I guess I'm not sensitive enough to get emotional over anime characters dying.The only thing I would like is to see more development of supporting characters skills, more knowledge on pass shinobis, more interesting battle and to finally know what's behind Tobi's mask..

Naruto himself is too powerful, he's not even the same person he once was. How of the statements Kish has said dont even match up to what we have seen; who's the most powerful, clone ability, etc. The plot is just all over the place now.

I wouldn't be to sure about that. Kakashi died already, so dying again wouldn't be very meaningful. I don't think that Kishimoto will kill Kakashi a second time, and if he does, I'll finish off being a weak event drama or story-wise.

It wouldn't be meaningless. Neither drama- nor story-wise. Naruto is also a story about fate and destiny. This would simply mean that it was Kakashi's fate to be revived again, so he would be killed by his one and only failure: Sasuke. Depending on the way he gets killed and what happens after that, how Naruto reacts, etc., etc., it would be great.

OP is another issue I see in Naruto. The main characters became too powerful too quickly in my opinion.

But come to think of it, there have been a lot of teacher-student fights that end up in the teacher dying:

Orochimaru killed Hiruzen
Sasuke killed Orochimaru
Nagato killed Jiraiya
Naruto killed Nagato (maybe this one doesn't count)

It seams to revolve around the Sannin. Maybe Sakura will end up killing Tsunade, that's sure to spice things up.


Also Naruto&Itachi, we have not seen characters die so you can't assume they are dying until it is said or rather showed. I would really dislike if after all this somebody would say: "Hey I heard Shikamaru is dead" or something around those lines.

Never seen DBZ?! Imagine a guy so powerful he can destroy planets with ease..
then imagine a guy twice as powerful whose fighting a guy whose even more powerful, so gets another level up to fight a guy whose even more powerful etc.....

Naruto will never get that extreme, considering how every fight in DBZ has interplanetary-level destruction...

word they not but kishi gave Naruto the ability to make clones to send out to the other battles becuz he doesnt want Naruto using clones against tobi. So u figure if Naruto was able to use clones in the fight tht he's in now the fight wouldve been over. I don't know what this Dragon Ball Z is and I am old enough to have known about it. I mean I know the character names from people here but so far as watching the show or manga, then no nor would I care after how you guys portray it. Don't assume everyone has seen DBZ.

Besides, I think Beyonce has better things to invest her time in besides DBZ.
