Not really, its still a sloppy story. That can't be denied.

What you mentioned were small details in the story, everyone can get sloppy from time to time, honestly, compare it to some other shonen manga and you'll see that Naruto is not that sloppy at all, people just like to scrutinise it more than most. As long as they are small mistakes that don't affect how enjoyable you find the series, what is the problem?

That's how I feel. I just enjoy consistency throughout stories. Its nothing against naruto, consistency is a good thing its not something that needs to be ignored.

You're implying that he can make those mistakes because he's been writing for so long? I suppose you don't read One Piece as Oda has doing it even longer and stays true to the characters and things that happened within the first 100 chapters, one example is a character that was introduced in the beginning of One Piece but wasn't shown until 500 chapters later and 100 chapters after that the story that was mentioned in the beginnig was explained.

So, doing it for so long isn't an excuse to get sloppy with what was stated in the beginning, but I suppose more mangakas get sloppy as the story progresses, not only Kishi.

Also, I can assure you that, even as a fanfic writer, when you're writing a long story over a long period of time, it could be that some things are forgotten or mixed up. It has happened in my stories before.
Considering he draws it for fifteen years already, some things are bound to get mixed up sometimes. It can happen to every author/mangaka. That doesn't mean he's lazy.

He hasn't contradicted himself at all, give me proof of a chapter where he contradicts himself, I know that he has a special book or set of files with all the facts about every character to make sure he doesn't make any mistakes and even before we saw Tobi for the first time he obviously knew he was Obito, its not something he just made up recently, I think he planned this before the time skip... Also you're just pulling these facts out of your ass and from people who are not Kishi. Also we don't even know what Obito's age was back then. he could have been held back in the academy like Naruto was for all we know. Also Obito may have turned 13 later after the exams, not everyone is born on the same day you know?

How is it invalid? Many writers have been doing it longer than Kishi and they make mistakes. Any time you write an ongoing comic (Manga) you are going t' contradict and make mistakes, thats just the nature of the beast...

agree with u. i just dont understand with some people who keep labelling kishi as lazy and stuff really annoyed me. he is a human,not a god,cut him some slack. he is been doing great from 1999 to 2012, isnt that good enough? it isnt like complaining will help things get better.
