And, not really, it's mixed remember. They belong to Uzumaki and the Hyuga clan. Kid's would be OP as hell with high chakra reserves and Byakugan, unfortunately they didn't get the Byakugan.

In fact the Astro boy( Cover page drawings even have red eyes for that) series one of the first series based on Sasuke Sarutobi. Kishimoro paid a literal homage in the manga itself telling us how he came up with the name Sasuke( named after Sasuke Sarutobi). This is one of the basic ninja magic.

You really need to see the series Manga Sasuke Sarutobi- shadow clones techs have been in Ninja stories for years. Most of the ninja magic can be traced to 19 Century even.

No. Kishi is just an idiot. You can't make a mistake on things like that. Wiki says any off spring of the Hyuga clan attains Byakugan, and unlike the Sharingan is unlocked at birth. These kid's show no signs of it.
