So Izanami in the latest chapter re-kindled my interest in Japanese folklore and the sources from which Kishi draws for the story.

So I went searching throughout the internet for more information and found these two awesome articles:

Thanks! Yeah I knew some of it, specifically some of the religion and, obviously, the Dragonball references. But there was a LOT more that I didn't know!
