Reading the new chapters got me thinking, why did Kishimoto decide to mention Hagoromo's brother if he had no intention of letting us know what happened with him? Well, I think I've found at least a possible way why he never did that, and I assume that someone else have already though of this. I just like to point it out for those that haven't yet.

Hagoromo mentions his brother and mentions that he and himself fought against the Juubi and following that they sealed the beast within Hagoromo by using the power of both these brothers. We weren't given any more information than this, and I think this is because if he did give us some more info then it would have been too obvious what would happen in the future chapters. I think that his brother definitely died shortly after the Juubi's defeat or he died from sealing the beast within his brother. But there is also the possible theory that his brother became jealous with Hagoromo's new power and had a different ideal on how it should be used, which ended in a fight between these two brothers and one died. Though Sasuke and Naruto will not end up fighting each other over power, as they were gifted the same power and it was balanced out by Hagoromo.
Though we all know that the final battle will take place, and a majority of the fanbase means that the fight that will come now is the spiritual same as Hagoromo & His brother vs Juubi. What I think is that Sasuke will indeed be the one that will start the fight with Naruto after Madara is defeated, but I think he will not be honest with his reasons for doing so. I think that Sasuke will fight Naruto and say that the reason is because he wants revenge or wants to be the one to control. Upon either dying or during the fight, Naruto will understand that Sasuke reason for fighting is not for revenge or control, though for peace. I say this because we know one thing.
Naruto and Sasuke are the end of the line in the lineage cursed by the Circle of Hatred which Kaguya started. If either of them die, then the curse will end, but ending the story like that would be a terrible mistake. As the story is about understanding one and another, so that is why I am saying that Naruto will understand Sasuke during their battle and then Sasuke will die. Sasuke will die at the hands of Naruto, the savior of the world. When he dies, he will have all the hatred in the world directed towards him and the circle and hatred will be destroyed with him.
Efficiently, it will be the same as the ending to Code Geass R2 for those that have seen that.
