Dude, you are talking about physical strength; we are talking about manga characers who mostly fight with techniques involves contolling elements, using eyes or other traits; it is not about "who hits harder", in case you didn't notice in more than 600 chapters...And Tsunade is the one "who hits harder" than any other character; the person who posted it meant that "the women in this manga are being kept away from the screen; the female ninja are not seen in the plot too much; even if one of them getting defined by strong, she ends up being a faux action girl"
About the real life "facts", every indivudual is unique by its own, if someone chooses to be strong he or she will work for it and make it happen, so "being weak by nature" does not mean that much.

Of course the focus would be on main characters; i know that for sure but how many fights you can tell me a woman beats a man in Naruto? almost none, and Kishi said it himself, he is not good at writing female characters; that means he knows what he is doing, but nothing is progressing in that department; it is not just about power; most females do not have well-developed characteristics, they are just "women" most of the time, while the male ones are actual "characters" with personalities, and many females got saved many times; even Tsunade got saved by part 1 Naruto from part 1 Kabuto; it was like a joke.

About the bold part, there is not a such thing as counterpart, i do not know how much knowledge or experience in that department, but for example there is no such thing as "a man with 5 years of boxing experience would definetely defeat a woman with 5 years of boxing experience". Everything depends on different conditions, so yes there would be a physical disdtvantage, but physical strength is not the only parameter in a fight.

You're missing a some things in your argument

(keeping in mind that I do think that women are portrayed poorly and not as strong as some of there male counter parts)

1) The culture of how things work in the part of the world are a lot different then they are here. So the way we perceive things in North America is way different then how they perceive in things in Japan.
2) the way you present your arguments you sound like a feminist (I'm not sure if you are, but you're anger is evident)
3) This is his anime and he can present however he wants
4) You still take the time daily to watch/read the manga/anime So you must enjoy it either way.

yeah im a guy, And i guess we just have different opinions on the matter. I feel as if females are portrayed decently when necessary. And im just using tsunade as an example of someone with a lot of screen time. Sakura and a lot of the k11 did for a while but it started to fade rapidly. However IMO thats just due to the ridiculous power scaling, which usually involves males but these males are the main pro/antagonists of the series, so it makes sense...

Konan was a member of the Akatsuki - a group where you didn't get in if you were weak. She hold her own pretty good against Obito. Tsunade is a Hokage and known as the best medic nin. Mei is a Kage as well.

Kushina was able to survive the extraction of the Kyuubi and even helped Naruto tame him later on.

Hinata and Temari are women who aren't weak either and can fight very well.

Did you confuse Rin with Sakura? Because from what I have read, Rin was actually nice to Obito and even befriended him. It wasn't her fault that he didn't have the guts to admit he had a crush on her. Don't blame Rin for something Obito didn't have the guts to admit. Obito chose the path he made for himself - it's not Rin's fault.

Kishimoto-sensei isn't sexistic. He admitted during an interview that he is bad at portraying women in the manga, but even with that I think he did a fairly good job still. At least his female characters have bodies that can actually be found in real life as well - he has both curvy women (like Mei, Tsunade and Hinata) as regular sized girls (like Sakura, Tenten, Kushina ...).

I consider the mangaka of High school of the dead more sexistic - while the girls in his manga can fight off zombies well, their bodies are way out of proportion (big breasts, very thin waist, very slender, long legs ...) and contrarily to the guys, they don't seem able to keep their clothes on during the fighting. I've only read the first two, three volumes so far, and practically all the main female characters have already lost their clothes, leaving them in nothing more than skimpy underwear and in one case even with just panties and a kitchen short, before they all went in bath together. And the guys? Well, they managed to keep their clothes on strangely enough.

Also you have to keep into consideration the Japanese culture. You can't put the Western view on some things together with the Japanese view. The Japanese people have viewed women as caring mothers who stay home and do the household and raise the children. Of course nowadays most women do have a job as well, but most women don't mind to stay at home to take care of the children and the household.
Naruto is a shinobi world - a world filled with fighting. Is it a miracle that most female characters are put into a healing role then? And even then they still are able to fight. Some even combine fighting with healing (like Sakura).

So yeah, sorry, but I don't view Kishimoto-sensei as sexistic. Sure, he could do a bit more work regarding the female characters, but overall he did a pretty good job in my opinion.

I thought Konan was pretty cool. Two of the current kages are women. Temari needs to get her jutsu expanded a little and Shikamaru is generally held in high esteem just because his intellect is so ridiculously high. Sasukes mom wasn't a real Uchiha his dad was. That's like saying Chouji and Shikamarus moms got cheated even though they aren't ninja. With the exception of Kimimaro Tayuya was probably the strongest out of the Sound Five.
