Even kakashi was some genius, but still zetsu detected all(kakashi and comrades) of their presence while still being in the cave.

You will never understand Kishi's intentions behind that portrayal. Obito was acting like a goofball, it was all enthusiasm. It was the early stages of his plan, he had no reason to get serious. you're also forgetting that Obito is like Naruto. Their both goofballs in nature, that was his true self in a way.

If Tobi could turn goofball mode on and off at will that doesn't make him a goofball that makes him a sociopath....I don't think Naruto is a sociopath....

You're forgetting that Obito was a goofball at heart. That was in a sense his true nature. The Obito at the battle field is what the ninja world turned him into.
