Kishi fooled us with Tobi!!!

This was about Tobi in the gaara rescue arc. When tobi(obito) and Zetsu(white and black) were searching for something(ring ,probably) in the akatsuki hideout cave, tobi was behaving like a moron. NOw, why would he need to behave like this in front of zetsu. It is understood that he behaved so in front of deidara because he didin't want to reveal his true identity, but why in front of zetsu who already knew that he was obito and also knew his full plan.
Seems, kishi had tried to fool us there into believing that tobi was indeed some other rogue shinobi.

Zetsu is a master of spying. He would have detected any other ninja's presence.

I've seen this argument before. I think goofy Tobi is the silly "poop" Zetsu's personality and serious sharingan Tobi is Obito's true self. When Obito went incognito, he wanted poop Tobi's personality for obvious reasons.
