I have been seeing alot of people recently that have been constantly quoting things or showing scans and saying "well kishi says this" or "Kishi says that", or "oh, so your saying the manga is wrong? and Kishi is wrong?" and on in on with "Manga Facts" and such.
I think its getting a little old so I just want to say some things that I think aught to be considered before saying that kishi disagrees with someone. ( A few more things included)
1. Masashi Kishimoto is a story writer and illustrator, like any story writer things that his characters say or claim should not be considered his beliefs, infact, kishi should not even be considered when talking about the naruto universe because he does not exist in it. The only thing that kishi would agree wish is that this particular character believes whatever statement it uttered.
2. Any character who does not have abilities of foresight or first or second hand experience that makes claims that have not been addressed in any of the 3 data books should not be considered as fact, but instead theory.
3. (theoretical) Characters that have techs that have not been displayed or described (only name or fact of existence is known) For example the 2nd hokages space time jutsus, they should not be evaluated in anything more than a "who do you think would win" on the contrary to a thread were claims of fact are used, since the little known jutsus can possibly thwart these facts.
4. Hypothetical abilities/actions of weapons, active jutsus or characters should not be used in a debate based on facts.
5. Because in almost every battle, the battle conditions are not perfect for either of the fighters at the start of battle (weather, land type, indoors/ outdoors/ foliage/ etc.) debates for vs. threads should not be based on past battles between the characters, but rather proven skills in the anime (non-filler) or manga.
Anyway these are just a few things I wanted to get of my chest.
Please feel free to leave any thoughts you might have and specify which part you are addressing.
So... Thoughts? -_-
