I do agree with you, if its not his style than it should not be part of his power.

I'm sure he didn't forget. He just didn't want to give those ugly looking alien eyes to those kids. Wouldn't suit them. They only look good on people like Kaguya, Neji etc. They don't look good on Hinata, and so wouldn't they look good on Boruto and Himawari.
