Kisame's weakness is not taijutsu [fact]

Gai loses to a lot of people. He really isn't stronger than Kisame. He merely attacked Kisame's weakness.

Why do people keep sayin that kisames weakness is taijutsu? This is not true.

Kisame weilds samehada like nothing and it probably weighs 300-400 pounds meaning hes super strong and it reduces his actual speed. Gai actually stated that he has superhuman strength and its only his clone.

Kisame easily went toe to toe with killerbee in taijutsu mode and he countered every attack and even dodged the raiton bullet pencil while attacking the giant racoon and others as well. While Sasuke got raped by Bee's taijutsu with his sharingan on.

Gai's tiger afternoon was a surprise to kisame since he thought it was chakra based and so he wasnt really prepared to defend in a proper manner. And he doesnt have samehada which he also uses as his shield. If samehada tanked hachibi v2 form then you already know.

And so with Kisame fighting a taijutsu user like Gai or raikage it doesnt matter if he cant absorb chakra. he doesnt need to since hes already super strong and faster than you think. and use samehada as shield and he has huge jutsus to counter it and he also regenerates.

Gai is not Kisames weakness. It's the same as everyone else. If gai's strongest move hit anyone, they're also fukd. Kisame actually survived his strongest move and he still has more str left than gai. Remember there are only few ninjas that has a lot of stamina; kisame, raikages, naruto, 1st. So if the likes of Kakashi gets hit by Gai goin all out ... he's actually more fukd than Kisame.

There is something people needs to undertand about the taijutsu.

In kishimotos' databook Taijutsu and Kenjutsu is actually the same thing.

Taijutsu= Closes Combat
Kenjutsu= Closes Combat but with a Sword.

Sabuza has 4.5 in taijutsu and i dont remember him using his taijutsu, all he did was to strike with his sword.

in Swordplay, the fastest swordplayer the one who deals the faster strike will be that one to win.

it is the same with taitjustu, you may have the same skill as the other guy buth if that person is faster you are just dead.

It's failure because you assume that speed is the key to winning this.

Let me rip apart your post even more:

You need speed (to a certain extent) and POWER (to a greater extent) to be able to deal some heavy blows to kisame.

Now, as for speed, Tsunade has been shown to instantly move from two spots (as shown in her fight against kabuto).

THAT'S ALL SHE NEEDS to be able to WIN against kisame. Why?

Because her taijutsu is the STRONGEST out of all the shinobi in the naruto world. One of her punches would break samehada, and kisame in half - and I'm willing to bet my kumi that she would win if they had a fight.

Ok, this might be a late response... and totally offtopic. But 'willing to bet your kumi, when they fight' when one of two persons is dead, isn't convincing me at all my dear friend.

Kisame's weakness is not taijutsu... IT IS GAI HIMSELF.

All of the points you make break down to the fact that he himself is strong and good a taijutsu. Ok. But the MAJORITY of his arsenal is USELESS against someone who never gives him a chance to steal chakra/use it against him. So what he is strong. Against an OPEN GATE GAI, he is weaker. Even if he knew his jutsu potential (which I'm being sarcastic, he fought Gai THREE TIMES and LOST) he still couldnt deal with the Open gates with nothing to counter and no chakra to steal/manipulate in the fight. Lets just face it--Gai is the perfect Weakness for Kisame. Maybe not taijutsu in general (cause "A" Lightning armor could get absorbed by Sameheda) but Gai/Lee in Open Gates. Too strong, no chakra = DEAD KISAME.

kisame uses his sword for defense as well and if he had that during the fight against Gai, the morning tiger probably didnt do much at all since samehada tanked hachibi v2 form. and it will heal kisame right after. kisame didnt even use his water dome, he wasnt even in sharkmode. and gai was exhausted right after he used the gates. kisame actually had more chakra / strength left than Gai.

Kisames intention was to flee the scene since theres no way in hell he will defeat hachibi / kyubi / gai / yamato at the same time.

a six tailed beast is a better match against kisame because a tailed cloak because its pure chakra an kisame has samehada. But kakashi using lightning nature against samedaha an kisame wont go well for him, thats his weakness since he uses water.

i dont rem about samehada having a hole while fighting bee.

kisame was perfectly fine after the afternoon tiger... even without samehada by his side. Gai suffered more drawbacks

KIsame loses to guy either way because...

1. Kisames speed doesnt match up to guys

2. Kisames sword will have no chakra to feed of since guy doesnt use chakra

3. Kisames shark mode with water dome wont work cause guy opening the gates stops the water from touching him jus like it did when he was under water when he beat the kisame clone. That so the water will only make kisame faster when he's in the water, once guy gets close(which since he's not under water it wont be hard) the water will evaporate an kisame loses his only edge.

4. I believe kisames sword can only heal if it has the chakra to(which it cant absorb from guy but i may be wrong)

5. All in all i think kisame's style after using that sword for so long is so based on absorbing his oppenents chakra. That when he's finally faced with an oppenent that wont work on it will throw him off. Besides it's not like kisames base wise is stronger than guy, maybe but that not a fact an guy's a very powerful opponent.
