Gai beat him but Kisames mission was to slow them down, and to be fair Gai had to use 7gates to do it, which means (as kakashi) states, grants you much more power than a kage level ninja.

If gai were up against Kisame for real, gai would have to be scraped off the floor from the damage done to him.

Kisame could just flood all of konoha, not as destructive but could kill quite a few.

Comparing pain to Kisame is a little silly, Kisame would get owned against Pain, but kisame does have a few benefits that make his jutsus more destructive or more powerful.

Shinra tensei isnt nessecarily powerful, its just a great cool move that is very effective.

There are skillfull jutsus and just outright brute strength jutsus.

You need to remember that who gai faced wasn't really kisame. It was some sort of clone which was only 30% the strength of the real one(I think).

I don't think Kisame's chakra capacity is anywhere near the kyuubi's/Naruto's.
I think your underestimating Naruto's chakra reserve.

You can't really say he would have improved that much since his fight with Gai. Besides he's strong enough anyway. We need to see him in a serious fight to see how strong is and can be. You seem to be underestimating everyone else.

What everyones gotta realise is Kisame hasn't actually used any of his advanced techniques, and his aim against gai was to slow them down too.

I'm sure kisame has a few trump card ninjutsus which will be awesome

Neji said Kisame has more chakra then Naruto? You pulled that out of nowhere. Neji said he hadn't seen so much chakra SINCE Naruto. Or in some translations he compared Kisame to Naruto in demon fox form as a part I snotty kid. Chakra develops with experience and training. Naruto has more of his own chakra to use in Part II then in Part I.

True Itachi was the leader of their team. and Kisame is powerful and we will definately see more of him ,but not more powerful than pain.

What? The 2nd Hokage didnt dream of doing that? The 2nd hokage didnt even NEED to do that to produce water jutsus.

Ugh fine kisame has less chakra than a genin.

He's absolutely useless and got into akatsuki with blind luck.

I think youre overestimating narutos chakra reserves, kakashis chakra back then sucked, he couldnt even get 3 chidoris out without wearing himself out, and naruto only had enough chakra to unleash some kyuubi chakra (less than 1 tail)

Kisame has a lot more than that, otherwise hed be a standard jounin chakra reserve.

Kisame has the most chakra in all of akatsuki and i think we can all agree Pain has a BUTTLOAD of chakra, much MUCH more than naruto original all them years back, and Pain ADMITTED kisame has loads more chakra than himself.

ergo, kisame has lots more than original naruto.

Nejis translation was either ****ed up or it makes no logical sense when you consider the facts.

Kisame making an ocean IS a water jutsu LOL.

The 2nd hokage could make water jutsus without water around him.

Kisame can make an OCEAN around a DESERT with only 30% chakra and still had enough chakra to fight.

I doubt naruto can make an ocean if he was water elemental.

Kisames chakra reserves are damn humungous

He also has the sword smadedae...which is probably the most lethal sword in in the manga.

Duh its a jutsu.... I said that in order for him to produce jutsus the 2nd didnt need a body of water. Kisame used a jutsu to produce water, so he could use more jutsus.

Maybe kisame has the most chakra, but that doesn't give him the advantage of the strongest one in akatsuki. It's just like someone has more muscles than the other one, but the other one could be stronger in strength.

Itachi was strong..but i think madara is stronger and maybe even pain bc of the stamina
