Kisame>Itachi (i think so)

After some thought and observation,, I have come to the conclusion the Kismae is greater than Itachi and would win 7/10. Btw Ima keep this short (ppl usually dont like long topics)


Kismae alone has the ability to obseve charka with or w/o Samehada. This would be very effective against someone like Itachi who doesnt have the best stamina and who has chakra based attacks (requiring high chakra use). Great Shark Bullet Technique too has the ability to absorb the chakra from an opponent's technique, and in turn, use that chakra to grow larger and more powerful. This would be the perfect counter for Itachi's Susanoo and it hasnt been stated that Sword of Totsuka could seal anything besides the user of the jutsu, and Kisame uses this technquies as a long rang attack, giving him enough distance from Itachi.

Itachi's genjutsu would be the main issue for Kismae, but as we know genjutsu could be broken, as all a ninja needs to do is stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra. As Kisame has chakra compared to that of tailed beast, doing such thing seems more likely than not (dude seems to enjoy pain anyway)

overall Kisame has more stamina, stronger, more endurance, and feats. Now, I now Itachi is boss (not denying that), but I think Kisame has his number.

I agree to some extent. It truly depends if Kisame has Samehade and/or if he some how gets his Ocean Jutsu onto the battlefield to have geographical advantage before Itachi can makes his move. If not, with all those things previously stated, Itachi will have the advantage in the fight.

I always liked Kisame a bit better than Itachi. But really Itachi's Susanoo is the only thing that I'd say can keep Kisame at bay. The yata mirror can probably block the shark missle and the sword of totsuka can seal the user(I think you meant can't seal jutsu). But I think Kisame can still win if he uses Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave to drowned Itachi as he almost did with Bee...see here

I doubt even with Susanoo, Itachi would be able to escape that technique. And his movements would be limited and won't be able to wield the Sword of Totsuka effectively, not to mention giving Kisame a ridiculous advantage if fused with Sameheda.

Tsukuyomi lasts only second in real world so its not possible to counter it by chakra disturbtion. As for Amaterasu, that attack that actually appears, besides Samehada doesnt like heat, it wouldnt be able to absorb that.

Kisame never outright states Itachi is stronger than him. That sentiment is achieved from the databook stating that Kisame is passive when around Itachi out of respect for Itachi's power. When the Akatsuki retreated from Jiriaya, Kisame also said "Why are we retreating? With your power..."



However, Kisame does possess the potential to defeat Itachi by utilizing his water prison and multiple clones. It is just unlikely in most scenarios, because Itachi is faster with his jutsu and a genius. He can successfully utilize his eye techniques before Kisame can set up the route to victory.

he respects those who deserve it, he's worked with Itachi and knows his background. Kakashi is known for copying jutsu with a weakened eye compared to his partner, I would call him weak too
