Well the same fox that fought Naruto took 10 Sage Art: Gargantaum Rasengans, 2 FRS, got tied and suppressed by Kushina's chakra and got almost all of his chakra snatched from his body. Despite all that the same kyuubi produced the biggest bijuu ball seen in entire Narutoverse... so yeah.. ummm let's see kirin is 1-time jutsu... Sasuke can only use it once, I think it will just stun the kyuubi for 2 seconds.. That's it!
Sasuke will be better of using sharingan to control the kyuubi rather than overpowering it.

also remember that was only the half of the power of the kyuubi 
1 kirin isn't enough, sasuke has to spam amaterasu and katon techniques in order to heat up the air so he can spam kirin. And most proberly even 5 kirins won't work.. sasuke has a better tool to overpower the kyuubi: Sharingan.

yeah i totally agree with you. kirin is powerful but maybe not as powerful as frs. frs, so far, is the most powerful non-kekei genkai technique in naruto. the kyuubi took all that damage and still wasn't out. i say kirin won't even graze the kyuubi

In real life that would be meaningless, I mean what's wind got to do against lightning? Kishi's rules, however....
