Do you think it's similar to gear second? I do, in gear second luffy pumps up his blood flow, turns red and steams. Elizabello punches for an hour increasing his blood flow, turns red and steams. It seems like the same concept just one done much better.

Yea It is a soild flow of logic. If his body (which was fapped over in the manga) could handle an increase in blood flow that would up his energy and the wieght of his fist making his punch more effective.

But however I didnt see steam. I doubt its that due to the visual differences.

The anime looked like he had light steam rising around his head.

EDIT I just read that part in manga (restarted series) and not a trace of steam is present

nope , that 2nd gear red thing , was anime only.
