Just read the recent chapter, a little late I know, man do I love this manga. That speech.
Woah i am pretty unsure how things will go maybe shin is heading for suicidal lose here just my gist . I like how gyu commander seems very firm with the things. He will be very tough to handle.

Love this Manga, the recent chapters have been good, interested in seeing how it will play out? Wondering if/when Houken will come into this fight?

The latest chapter was good, it's cool the Ousen believes in Shin, I guess a recognises that Ouki wouldn't hand down his Glaive to just anyone?

Seems like Shin may have sensed what's about to happen to Ouhon?

I don't think Ousen believes in anyone. I think he's more of a general who knows what tools are reliable and can be counted on to accomplish impossible tasks. Shin's history speaks for itself since his appointment as leader of the Hi Shin unit. Latest chapter gave me an 'Oh shit' moment there at the end.

Ouhon beaten? By whom and how?

Kingdom was very good this week, finally seeing Ousen's plan with the refugees start coming together is awesome, he is a genius. It was a 2 fold attack, make the city use up their food supplies but also hiding some of his own men with refugees so they can easily take the city from within.

And Shin taking over the Right Wing is an awesome development. I think he's going to dominate the Right moving forward. The combination of his Instinct ability improving greatly and his Ouki's Glaive skills he's going to finally look like a General.

I fully concur. I feel like he's the perfect counter to the Zhao wing. He's going to have Ouhon's highly trained unit under his command as well and perhaps we'll seek Ouhon make a recovery and strike down one of the Zhao commanders to redeem himself and cause another burst of explosive combatant energy in his men.

Been re-reading the Coalition Arc, just something I like to do every once in awhile, every time it still amazes me how good that arc was. But then when I finish I always get a little bummed out because one of the greatest arcs ever in Manga will probably never get Animated.

Or worse it would in that weird art and animation style it has.

Does Studio Pierrot still have the rights to the Anime? Wish another studio would start over and make the Anime. And whoever that is don't try to make it into a Shonen, keep as much of the violence as you can. And no 3D/CGI animations. It doesn't even have to be amazing animation just not 3D.

And I would like it to be seasonally to keep the quality of each episode up.

I would love for a studio behind anime like Attack on Titan, Berserk or one of them to get it. Berserk's animation style would actually go really well with this manga, especially because it's not too forced but balances out the dark with the light.

Who is excited for this showdown with Shin as a wing commander?

While I liked seeing Ousen's plan happen with the inside guys, I was kinda bummed we had to wait an extra week for basically seeing Shin as a General. So I'm very excited for it, just happy there wasn't another chapter break.

I read that as being Kanki's plan last chapter, unless Kanki was privy to Ousen's plans.

In the previous chapter the Refugees talking about this made a statement like "Since we left our cities they've been with us" Meaning the moment Ousen sent them from the cities hidden soldiers were in their numbers. And also the hidden Refugees in this chapter said they we're Ousen's men.

So the entire reason why Ousen sent the Refugees away from their cites and made sure they came to this current city wasn't just to over crowd the city to force them to use up some of their food, it was also to infiltrate Ousen's men into the city to burn the rest of the food.

Meaning this was Ousen's plan, but there was the chapter when Ousen gave the reigns to Kanki to take this city, Kanki realized what Ousen had done, and btw Kyoukai figured it out to.

I knew Ousen sent the refugees to strain the systems but iirc Kanki was there at the first village being taken i.e. the first refugees sent this panel made it seem like he decided to to a plan on top of Ousen's plan but the men saying Ousen's name before is a good point I overlooked.

The reason why Kyoukai realized what Ousen was doing is because she'll be the one to explain it Shin/Us

Major History Spoilers - Thoughts/Theory on the Ending.
.
.
.
.

Chances are that Shin ends up being Liu Bang? Liu Bang has a peseant background and with Qin ultimately falling, something like this happening would make the ending not feel like we wasted our time.
