[Discussion] Kind of surprised Tobirama chose Hiruzen over Danzo.

Based off of this last manga I am a bit surprised that Tobirama chose Hiruzen over Danzo for the position of 3rd Hokage. I seems like Tobirama shared the same cut throat mentality to protect the village by any means necessary just like Danzo. I am also surprised a bit that Hiruzen was all fine and dandy with massive slaughtering of the Uchihas. I always figured that Hiruzen was basically strong-armed into the situation via Danzo and the other elders, or even manipulated by Danzo via Shisui's eye..

So if you're equating Hiruzen with Danzo in mentallity, why would Danzo beat Hiruzen for hokage? Also Hiruzen is Clearly stronger

Danzo didn't understand Tobirama at all. Tobirama loved his Village more than anything(but not more than his bro ofc) but he tried to protect it a better way than Danzo.

Tobirama is no way like Danzo, in any way, shape or form. He disguised the whole police force as a way of maintaining "equal" power, where he in fact drove them to the outskirts of the village, in fear they were carry on Madara's will. He made it seem as if they were friends, whereas Danzo would've probably killed them, there and then. No negotiations.

I think Danzo was obsessed with power period. Not necessarily the Uchiha's. It was stated by Tobi that his experiments with Senju & Uchiha DNA were likely for the sole purpose of controlling the Nine Tails power. And he proved himself to hold the village's greater good above all else just like Tobirama

he implanted several sharingan in his arm..i think he has somewhat of an obsession with them..
