Exactly,as i recall it has never been stated that it was the two brothers alone who severely injured Tobirama, it was said that a squad of 20 ELITE ninjas did it, meaning 2 things:

that hasnt been stated either. the 20 fodders and the bros attempted coup are two entirely different events probably years apart. during the coup tobriama was left on the verge of death and defeated by kinkaku and ginkaku. stated multiple times. later on he sacrificed himself to distract the kinkaku squad, which were kumogakure shinobi, NOT s-rank mercenaries

2.Even if he did die due to those injuries it was actually those two brothers plus 18 others who killed Tobirama.But it wasn´t just the two brothers, there is a huge difference.

Anyway it seems Nidaime was good at creating techniques but not completing them, because of this they weren't really good to be use in battle. According to Hashirama, his FTG needs preparations for example, not a kind of technique you could use properly in battle then. Like his Edo tensei which was said to be pale compared to part1 Orochimaru's version

Well Tobirama died against 20 elite Kumo shinobi (probably Kakashi level or higher), and Ginkaku and Kinkaku were at the head. I'm betting he died more because he was acting as a decoy than actually fighting.


But in regards to the Gold and Silver bros.....they are monsters....if you think about it the ONLY reason they lost was because Darui, by the grace of god, had a favorite word change LAST SECOND....whole I don't think they take Madara, they were deffinatly strong.

I doubt that they could beat EMS Madara due to his knowledge and strength. Obito seemed to have knowledge on the Sage's weapons, which he got from Madara. Tobirama also stated that "this time" he would beat Madara, showing he has never beaten him before. Also, it was the Kingin squad of 20 elite ninjas that took out Tobirama, not just the brothers if they were even in that squad (I think they were).
