if it were anyone else who was a close range specialist I'd give old Hidan a chance, but Kimimaru specializes in slicing ish up, not to mention he can use his KG to defend as well, and Hidan also stated he was the slowest member of Akasuki, the ONLY reason he was so deadly is because of his great team work with Kakuzu, Shika already proved that when you seperate him from his partner, he ain't worth 2 cents, fact.

Raiton swords don't pierce kimimaro's bones. As long as he is in his porcupine form, hidan can't scratch him.

He needs blood, and time to do his ritual, he's hard pressed to get any blood from Kimimaru to begin with, but do you think Kimimaru would give him time to draw a circle of blood with the triangle in it for his ritual?

It was easy with Kakuzu backing him, but solo he'd never get the chance, nevermind the fact that kimimaru is a blade specialist and can use projectiles, all this means that Hidans limbs will be all over the battlefield, not to mention he had access to curse mark
