Kids arent watching the good shows like the ones I had from my generation and because of that rating go down and they get cancelled. They only want to watch these goofy shows.

Maybe its because today Kids have Youtuber's to watch. Thats why Minecraft youtubers have become so popular. TV is something to watch in your spare time. Kids watching goofy shows and preferring them over say, a more story driven show doesn't make them stupid.

That is completely different. Those are adult shows that have noting to do with kids. If kids cant appreciate any good shows out there with a good story line and would rather watch something so random all day, that yes its pretty bad. At least in my opinion I guess.

I agree. It's kind of sad their minds can't comprehend anything that isn't completely random or completely stupid like most of the Nickelodeon/Disney shows out there.

Watching goofy shows doesn't make kids stupid. They ( as you agreed with ) can't tell the difference between a good story show or a goofy show. I'm more inclined to believe that the the majority of teenagers watch Korra because its put towards that audience. But since that audience is now watching Youtube, Netflix, the ratings will go down.

Teen titans go is actually really good and is extremely funny.

Shows get canceled man, it happens. It sucks when it does, but it happens. There'll be more shows along like the ones you talked about eventually.

Also it isn't just kids these days that are stupid, its people everywhere and every when. There are stupid people all over the place. But just because someone enjoys laughing more than they enjoy following plot, I don't think you should call anyone stupid for that.

That was not "the kids"' fault but the channel's. Young Justice did a phenomenal job, when it comes to ratings. The problem was that CN couldn't sell much of the merchandise, which ended up being the demise of the show. Which is basically how these channels work these days, shows = merchandise = $$$.

I personally LOVED Young Justice, the plot was much more mature than CN's typical crap. And it was very unfortunate that it got cancelled.

Again, poor management. They didn't advertise the show properly for the 3rd book, double episodes every week. All of it just seemed rushed and a poorly handled job. Though, Korra's producer (I think it was the producer) confirmed on the Tumblr that the show will be continued digitally (iTunes or Netflix?... idk) but will not air on Nick anytime soon.

How old are you? You say your generation, that would mean you are a Gen X born between 1961 and 1981? Everyone has stupid crap they grew up watching. When I was younger we had so much stupid programming. The only thing I remember being truly education was Don Herbert (Mr. Wizard). David the Gnome was mind-numbing.

Edit: It's been probably 25 years since I saw Reading Rainbow with LaVar Burton, but I remember that being good...and maybe Electric Company. I had remembered You Can't Do That on Television being good, but I found some on Youtube...it was not.

I agree. Shows nowadays are so completely random. Barely any have a good story. I can remember the really good shows, Ben 10 , teen titans(the original not this teen titans go! BS), grim adventures of billy and Mandy, of course avatar TLA, invader zim, even rugrats, fosters home for imaginary friends, etc. those shows I sometimes watch to remember how good tv was, and I'm 18. Not now tho, everything nows, except the rare show or two, LoK or Young Justice, are a just "bleh".
