part of the problem is that most subconsciously give kidomaru a free control of the environment that he had vs neji - purely a product of plot convenience. It reminds me of the kamui gg arguments - they don't know how to quantify the feat w/o separating the circumstance
He isn't getting a tactical advantage over Sasori or any kage level ninja head-to-head. He would get badly swamped. He doesn't have prep.
but obviously he could be very useful support to a team in an ambush.

Itachi himself said him nor Sasuke could cut thru that web. They had to resort to using amatersau. Therefore, it only having held"5 gennin" is irrelevant

Biggest S4 fan and even I know Sasori's 100 puppets win him the match. Even if none of them can touch him it's still more than enough to ensure Kidomaru can't reach Sasori.
One of them will end up poisoning him and he never coats his ENTIRE body in sticky gold.

How can those puppets prevent Kidomaru's from reaching him? Please explain that to me. Also, what poison is penetrating his golden armor? Gas Cloud is countered by the debris from the arrows themselves.
That's an assumption as to what he coats. As he stated, it's created through he sweat glands, so he could very well do so.

I think poison wouldn't work on kidomaru. Orochimaru made Sasuke immune to poison, so its not much of a stretch to say Kido is too. plus, there's always that golden skin for protection

Sasori's hand movements are fast, yet predictable. Foot speed? I don't recall any. Those puppets, Sakura reacted to effortlessly.
Golden Armor "instantly" solidifies once airborne.

Well, he was able to use his gold skin before neji was able to close a single one of his chakra points. He can just do it before he starts to actually fight
So now he has gold armor out first? Sasori's poison paralyzes, one hit and he is paralyzed meaning no sweat.
Edit: Actually he can sweat, however he is still paralyzed in will die within 3 days. Not to mention it is only a small amount that can cause this.

What aren't you understanding? Gold Armor is placed the moment Kidomaru feels threatened. It's faster than Sasori's techniques, especially at a distance.
It's his ability, one doesn't need to force him to sweat to perform the jutsu lol
Similar to Garra's sand Armor.

Gold goo, secretes from his pores that solidifies once airborne. He still has to secrete the goo before his gold shell is made, by that time the poison will be in his bloodstream.

Not to mention with the distance of 70 meters, it is out of Kidomaru's range of 50 meters with his bow. Sasori destroyed a small nation with just his puppets, which is possibly greater than 50 meters. Then each puppet is coated with poison I believe.

100 puppets are fodder they all get put in webs. Even early shippuden Sakura fodderized them in taijutsu.

I KNOW Kidomaru's abilities okay :') I argue for him all the time but he also never covers his body entirely in sticky gold. There are some points the pores either can't form or he needs free to cast jutsu or fight. Sasori will end up poisoning him.
