"Thank you, Sensei. Interesting. I had a general idea about the ranges. Yes, I am aware that I have to be careful of Taijutsu, EIG, Jyuuken and other Kenjutsu users in short range. My fighting style is usually mid-long range, but with Kenjutsu, I hope I will learn mastering short range fighting. Mid-ranged Kenjutsu? We need more of those!", said Tenzo, as he placed his blade on the ground and relaxed his muscles. All the sword swinging had strained him a little bit. Getting back up after some time, he bent down and held his sword again. He listened carefully to his Sensei's instructions, as he walked back and jumped, reaching roughly about 6 meters from his Sensei, as his teacher followed the same. After which, he held the sword in his dominant hand, it's edge facing downwards.
He then remembered his time spent with Kakashi and Asuma, and thought about the art of flowing chakra into his blade. He had done so previously, demonstrating the same while performing some attacks on the clone. But, this time, he had to not merely channel chakra into the blade. He pictured Asuma's instructions of how to channel chakra into the blades perfectly, remembering how his chakra blades had cut through cleanly through trees and rocks. Focusing on that, he gathered a good amount of chakra, and channeled it to his sword, as the overflow of chakra caused it to flow outside the blade. Just as this happened, his Sensei formed a single handseal and released a water projectile at him, roughly the size of a small sphere. As the sphere took flight and came towards him in a linear path, he outstretched his right hand and bent slightly down, swinging the blade in a circular manner in front of him. The sudden swing of the blade had caused the chakra present outside the blade to give off a red aura, as it looked like an extension of his blade. The aura of chakra connected with the water projectile exactly at the centre and altered it's trajectory making it go sidewards, after which it burst, resulting in the water particles to fall on the ground.
Question: Upto what rank of projectiles does it block? And, what kind of damage does the chakra arc cause when it comes in contact with a shinobi's body?
