I once take out my sword from it's sheath and start to run towards your direction while holding my sword in my right hand, the grip being firm and solid, there lays an another sword which is hanging to the left of my hip, as I close in the distance between I extend my right hand a little out wards and keep it at my shoulder height and slowly move my left hand near to the jilt of my second sword, as I get in striking range I use my right handed sword to perform a diagonal slash moving from right to left in one swift motion, and as soon as I initiate this strike I very swiftly unsheathe my second sword using my left hand and quickly spin my wrists and get my hand in an appropriate position to strike and perform a vertical slash using it, which is aimed for your belly and comes in from a left to right direction.

*I jump back to a longer distance from you holding my sword with my right hand I begin charging towards you with my sword pointing downwards although held at an angle where it doesnt drag along the ground, as I begin closing in on you I try to find any openings to exploit as I notice you holding the sword on your left side I quickly grab my sword with both hands and raise it slightly above my chest pointing to my left and bring down a swift slash that looks like I am going to slash your leftside of your abdomen but instead I move the sword outwards away from your body a bit and continue slash at your legs hopefully catching you off guard*

Your left and right, or my left and right?
Not bad though. You overcomplicate things a bit, but the move itself is pretty solid. I gotta tell you though; unsheathing the sword haning at your left hip with your left hand is no easy feat, but I think you pulled it off well.

Like Gitanshu; not bad. Your description is a bit mechanical, but that'll come with practise ^^

Now, I'm sorry for not having responded 0_0 I don't even know. Some threads, it seems, just hide themselves from me. I've subscribed to the thread now; so it won't happen again.

Anyway, I want you guys to pick a Kenjutsu technique, describe its inner workings, its advantages and its disadvantages. Just one each.

Sorry my bad, I will be more detailed and less complicated next time around.

I tried the unsheating action in real life and yes it is actually hard so I will keep it in mind, thanks again.

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

Okay in my opinion this is the very basic and raw form of kenjutsu as it is something which we can even perform in free form[ I have no idea as to why it has chakra cost?], Now coming to its advantage, as the description states we will intiate the striking process by performing a sequence of slashes but it does not stated where, now in my opinion we can strike him any where we want to and if that is right then why shoudn't I srike him in his chest area in first place and thus make him suffer a lot of pain, the fact that these slashes are continuous I can attack him in quick succesion on vital points and thus not giving him any time to recover and then finish up by performing the final slash, now I will surely land the final slash right above his heart and thus this slash will not only result in great pain and agony but it will also result in great blood loss [if I am able to cut some veins] and thus it will make my opponent dizzy and vulnerable for future attacks, I don't know why but I feel like this jutsu is more than capable enough to kill a person if used properly.

Okay now for disadvantage, the first and formost will be are attacking speed, if are opponent is fast and even has better reflexes than us then we are more or less doomed as he can alwayd sidestep and attack us and given the fact that we are already in an striking position it becomes hard for us to react, If are first slash is intercepted then we can not contnie with this jutsu.

I'll try to be a bit less mechanical

(Kusanagi no Tsurugi: Chidorigatana) - Grass Cutter Sword: One Thousand Birds Katana
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user flows Chidori current through a katana in manner similar to flying swallow technique. The Radiating and chirping blade can easily cut through steel. Furthermore, the body of the person cut by the sword goes numb, taking away their freedom of movement.

Chose this one mainly because it revolves around one of my favorite jutsu, Chidori Nagashi. The inner workings on this technique are that the user would channel the Nagashi into the sword causing it to gain the Chidori abilities such as numbbing the body on contact. Upon being cut with this technique active the opponents body goes numb due to the vast amount of electricity passing through the body causing the muscles to contract. Also while this is active the user can use other Kenjutsu techniques giving them more cutting potential adding on the numbing effect while slicing with other techniques.

Its advantages are that it can stay activated and used with other Kenjutsu techniques as well as free-form techniques. Also you would be able to cut through up to A Rank earth jutsu due to lightnings natural strength over earth

Disadvantages are that it gains the sound of Chidori making it not a good move to have active if you want to sneak behind the enemy. Also due to its weakness to wind a simple C Rank wind would blow the lightning off the sword.
