A wild Minato sensei appears.

Okay now tell me everything you know about Kenjutsu, it's applications, famous users, styles of Kenjutsu, everything you know basically.
Also what type of sword do you favor, longsword, rapier, katana, scimitar, etc.

Kenjutsu is the art of fighting with a sword. Instead of charging your Charka through your hands or feet you mold your Charka in your blade. The blade is an extension of your arm giving you a slightly larger area to attack with in a taijustu fight.

Application:
Centered and concentrated Jutsu attacks like a simple Charka slash of the sword
Focused pin point attacks like when your thrusting or stabbing.

Famous user:
Zabuza
Killer bee
Sakumo hatake

Styles of kenjutsu:
Samurai style
Cloud ninja's fighting style

I favor the rapier
(Was this enough or did I miss a lot)

It seems all to brief for me, surely you know more about Kenjutsu in real life, you don't have to describe it just on Narutoverse, draw from everything you know of swordsmanship.
Take a bit more time with your reply i don't expect you to know it all, but Kenjutsu is used in nearly every anime, manga, videogame, so on so forth.
You know more than that, i know it.

Give me a sec... Sorry when I did that reply it was based on my Naruto knowledge
Styles of kenjutsu:
Kendo
Fencing
Roman Sword fighting style
Nito Ichi Ryu- A Japanese fighting style involving two blades

Application:
It gives one a way to relieve his mind of stress (What?? I did karate before and that what it did for)
It helps focus the mind and body
Helps teach the person discipline
Its an effective self defense art

Famous user:
Zabuza
Killer bee
Sakumo hatake

(That's unfortunately the limit of my knowledge. I won't look up something online without understanding it first)
After looking at different types of blades the rapier doesn't seem like me specifically now that I know more about its fighting style. Based off what I learned about the Claymore's fighting I think its more my style.

Do you want details of the sword fighting or just the names?

So you wish to learn the Claymore, or two handed sword fighting style.
The Claymore is a huge hefty blade, excessively powerful and dangerous, however it is slow to swing and even slower to recover from a missed swing.
Looking at these positive and negatives, are you sure this is the style for you, if so i shall begin in earnest.

Two handed swing:
1. More power
2. More precise
3. Prevents you from using any jutsu
4. not sure if this is correct but easier to reset
5. Slower
6. less weight on one hand

One handed swing:
1. Faster
2. More maneuverable
3. Leaves your hand open to using something else
4. Harder to reset
5. less power
6. All the weight is in one hand

Almost correct, but in terms of speed with a claymore, a two handed swing is always faster and more manouverable, unless you possess a tremendous level of strength, wielding a claymore with one hand is nigh on impossible, although that being said this is Narutoverse and people like Zabuza were able to heft huge unwieldy weapons fairly easily.
Next tell me everything you know of stances.

Horse stance:
- makes you harder to uproot from the sides
- Its more of a defensive type stance
- allows you to cut your opponent with a slash or a thrust

Front stance:
- makes you harder to uproot from the front
- Typically a stance used in attacking
- Great for stabbing your opponent with a thrust

Back stance:
- Looks like the reverse of a front stance. your weight is on your back foot now
- Typically made to stop yourself while running
- Typically used while slashing your opponent

Good then you seem to have the basics down.

Show me then, the extent of your knowledge, come at me.

Minato throws a broadsword from his weapons stockpile to you, before drawing a single one of his unique kunai, and beckoning you forth to attack him, his kunai is held in his right hand, in a reversed grip.

Izuna catches the broadsword and unsheaths it. Izuna than places the sheath on his back so he doesn't lose it. Izuna takes a calming breath than takes a step forward while slashin diagonal and ending in a front stance.

Minato watches as the target advances towards him, taking careful notice of his stance (you never defined this) he watches as the opponent steps forwards using his right leg. (Again undefined)
Watching as he pulls the blade back over his left shoulder (Undefined) Minato steps pressure on to his right foot preparing, as the heavy blade begins to drop from the apex, knowing now is the moment where he has no control on stopping the swing in time.
Minato simply pushes forwards off his right foot, while twisting his left leg and hips turning sideways.
This allows him to deftly avoid the blade, placing the tip of his kunai still in his right hand to his students throat, showing him that he is defeated.
Minato then steps back again.

You understand all of the theory yet that was the best you could muster? Again.

This time Izuna starts off in a front stance and calmly first thinks about what happened.
"clearly a simple strike won't work I need to come up with a better attack plan"
Izuna grips the broadsword in one hand and takes a deep breath. Izuna takes a backs and places the blade over his shoulder and than takes a half step forward and shift into a horse stance before moving to attack. He moves his left foot forward into a front stance. Once Izuna gets into striking distance he shifts his blade to left and does a thrust while sliding into a back stance. Izuna than after he extends his arm fully slashes horizontally and shifts into a horse stance. After the strike Izuna brings the blade back in front of him and waits for senseis next move.

Minato watches his student again, as he steps forwards, adopting a horse stance and stepping forwards, he moved his left foot forwards, then thrusted his blade using his (undefinded) arm.
Taking advantage of the mans about confusion as he attempted this, Minato leapt from the floor, kicking his left foot off the thrusting blade to propel himself, delivering a brutal knee using his right knee cap to collide with the opponents forehead sending him skidding backwards along the floor.

The key is a strong focused mind, adapted to the task at hand. You are in to many minds, picking multiple stances and making awkward attacks, rely on your instinct, let your body motions flow freely. Again.

As Izuna gets back up off the ground he rubs his forehead checking for any wounds. After Izuna makes sure he isn't wounded he starts to think of another attack plan.
"Well that attack plan did not work. Well I need to clear my mind before I do anything else"
Izuna focuses his mind on the image of his sword and blocks out anything that doesn't have to do with the sword.
"Lets see I know sensei's extremely fast so I have to use his speed against him some how. Lets see he typically likes to dodge at the last second. Hm... perhaps if I focus my attacks towards his sides he won't have the ability dodge by jumping up into the air or ducking. Ah a plan just occurred to me."
Izuna starts off in a back stance and focuses on sensei. Izuna plans his attack while shifting into a horse stance. Izuna than shifts his blade to his left arm. Izuna brings his right arm up and moves towards his sensei. Once Izuna moves close enough to minato he shifts his left arm up and makes sure his right arm is ready to block. Izuna brings his left arm to shoulder before letting blade sag a little bit. Izuna than twists the blade to the edge is heading towards senseis left side near the kidney. As Izuna makes the strike he falls into a front stance. As he finishes his strike he brings his blade back to his left side and moves into a back stance

Better, but instinctively a true swordsman always expects the unexpected.

Minato says this as the students swing is inches from him, a calm look on his face, he simply teleports to the other side of the blade avoiding the swing completely.
He achieves this thanks to the bare handed contact he made on the blade at the start of the fight, a small seal visible on the blade.

You did well, a very well formed attack. But you left yourself unguarded simply trying to strike me down with all your force, learn from this. If you rush in to fell your opponent, you leave yourself open. In your desire to strike me you have left your mind closed to the possibility i could have a riposte in mind.

Minato glances down at the kunai still in his hand ready, signifying he was able to strike his student down.

There are, techniques you can learn to aid in this. But come at me once more before i teach you them, keep your mind open to your own weak points.

Izuna moves away from his sensei and starts to come up with another plan. "Hm... Lets see do I have a smoke bomb?" Izuna rummages through his shinobi pouch and takes out a smoke bomb and shifts it into his pocket (right side). "Alright I have the smoke bomb. Now lets see if I toss the smoke bomb beneath him I can use my Sharingan to track him until the mist clears. This would help if he decides to teleport again." Izuna moves the broadsword onto his left shoulder while holding it in his left hand and makes sure that Sensei didn't see his right hand enter his pocket again. Izuna than flung the smoke bomb directly at sensei. Once the smoke bomb explodes releasing a cloud of blue smoke Izuna uses his recently activated sharingan to sense out senseis location. While moving from the horse stance Izuna was in he quickly locates sensei with his sharingan and shifts into a front stance to begin the attack. Izuna slashes sideways at Minato and shift into a back stance to avoid senseis next move. This allows Izuna to track sensei while recovering and planning the next attacked. Izuna than does a thrust while also looking around to make sure sensei wasn't doing anything sneaky. (left side). Izuna shifts into a front stance as he makes the thrust. Once he does the thrust he swings his right foot to change the stance into a horse stance while slashing at sensei at a diagonal.(left arm). As the mist clears Izuna deactivates his sharingan.

That's enough, tell me. What have you learned from this?
