Yeah, I miss the grimy, rougher, hungry Lil Wayne, back when he had the drive to win and had something to prove. After the C3, he longer had that hunger, he was at the top. Quality started to drop, though No Ceilings was amazing and Rebirth was lyrically nice, just not sonically lol.

I've heard a few Danny Brown songs. I particular loved his verse on Ab-Soul's Terrorist Threats

You mean 187? I heard a bit of it. Tyga's getting repetitive now..I feel he hasn't made any progress as an artist since Well Done 2. His album was nice and different, but his music gives off the same vibe, not to mention all sounding similar.
Typical. :/ I heard 95 Like That and thought it was going to be better.

Hands down, one of the best lyricist of the new generation of rappers. I'd love to hear a song with Lupe and him together. The wordplay in that song. @_@

Why so much hate on Lil Wayne? just cause you don't like his style of rap doesn't mean he's garbage. His prime was 04-09 and for someone to stay that hot and relevant in hip-hop is almost unheard of. he's been rapping for close to 20 years, he's bound to start to decline somewhere xD Still one of the best punchline rappers in the game atm.
I know prime Lil Wayne is great, but his metaphors are killing my ears right now. If you want the best punchline rapper, I'll redirect you to Childish Gambino.

Ok he will really becoming overrated now, I'm tired of it.
2012 for the main part was not good. The main groups (OF, YMCMB, MMG, FV, G.O . O.D) had some up and down situations.
MMG other than Rick Ross (who's album wasn't spectacular), Wale, and Meek Mills I believe, hit on little.
OF failed with No Idols and Numbers, but channel ORANGE was spectacular, and that's the reason they aren't being smashed right now. And The Odd Future Tape Vol. 2 was early, but Earl did come back so I digress.
YMCMB - Lil Wayne, that's it. Take Care early, early, early, um what did Nicki Minaj do? I don't even know.
FV stalled the hell out of Knock Madness, and still won't release it till 2013. Dizzy had to release an album for FV to have anything. But Jarren Benton gave them needed momentum. SwizZz is lazy
G.O . O.D - Probably the only consistent performer here, Cruel Summer, Based on a TRU Story, Detroit (Big Sean), Watch The Throne, and whatever Pusha T did. They are the best group this year, especially by financial standards.

Kendrick grinded and should be counted as best rapper of this year. GKMC is album of the year.

I agree with the majority of this except the part about G.O.O.D. Music being the best group this year. Clearly, you haven't heard TDE's releases this year. Ab-Soul and KDot dropped two of the most sonically complete albums this year plus the songs had lyrical theme and content. ScHoolboy Q's album was good as well, on a grimier level though. A lot of Cruel Summer where filler songs, added to round out the tracklist. I actually feel that it could have been better. It was nice, better than MMG's and YMCMB's releases though, with the exception of Take Care of course. 2 Chainz....eh, you either love him or hate him. He has no lyrical talent to me, though his punchlines and metaphors are ****ing hilarious to listen to xd. WTT can't be counted for though, that came last summer :p Take Care as well though...So yeah, GOOD > YMCMB this year easily xD Not a big OF fan so I can speak much on them, though Earl is ****ing sick with the rhymes and Frank can sing, **** all the gay-bashing the guy still has good music.
