Aj sat cross legged on the ethereal plain with his eyes closed and hummed to himself. The tall golden grass swayed gently in the breeze; the sky rich with color as an aurora weaves its mystical trail across the night sky, illuminating all below as if it were the midst of the day. His swords lay across his lap, as if it too were enjoying the scenery as they awaited the arrival of another of like mind.

Yoshimune arrived to a designated place and spoke in a calm yet assertive tone, much like his fellow samurai.

"Hello there young one. It's been a while since I've met another promising swordsman. Might you be kind to tell me your name and why you chose to wield a blade? We men live in a world of ninjutsu where anything you desire can essentially be achieved. Why choose something as mundane as the sword arts?"

He waited patiently for the man's reply.

Aj opened his eyes slowly as the man came up to him and began to speak. It had been an incredibly long time before anyone had referred to him as young one, or even asked him why he chose to wield a blade. Nevertheless he listened to what the man had to say to the very end. As he finished speaking, Aj lifted his sword between them.

"Mundane? This? This is more that a scrap of metal stranger. It is the embodiment of my undying will and indomitable spirit, an extension of my own body. My name is Aj, and I am a swordsman"

Yoshimune smiled as he heard those words. Though not exactly what he was looking for, the mere fact he respected his blade was warrant enough to aid him in his quest. He spoke again.

"Couldn't have been said any better. Well, then shall we proceed? I want you to take a gander at this, meditate on it and then perform it for me."

*gives you a scroll with technique written in it including several pictures in case you didn't read very well or needed some visualization*

Yoshimune grabbed a small wooden log he found on the ground below and tossed it high into the air. As it traveled it way up, he placed his left hand on the scabbard and his right hand on his hilt of his blade that rested on his left hip. As he jumped up, a strong, yet precise amount of chakra became channeled to his blade. As he approached the log, he drew his blade quickly, revealing a crimson glow to it. He then proceeded to slash upwards vertically, downwards vertically, to the left horizontally, to the right horizontally, and then re-sheathed his sword back to his scabbard in a quick, clean motion cancelling the chakra and ending the technique. It was quite fast that it almost seemed superhuman. As he landed, bits and pieces of the log scattered and fell behind him. He looked at the young man and waited patiently for his turn.

Aj had just finished going over the scroll when the man threw the log skyward and carried out a series of slashes with his blade covered in a crimson like chakra. The man landed as the log fell in pieces behind him and looked to Aj to perform the technique. He pick up his sword and stood, placing it in the black leather belt around his waist. He grabbed a log fro himself and tossed it into the air. As it traveled upwards he settled into Kurogane's Battōjutsu stance, placed his left hand on the hilt of his sword and moving his dominant leg backwards. He jump after the log and channeled a precise amount of chakra into the blade, causing it to give off a crimson like glow.

He performs an upward vertical slash that was quickly followed by a downward one, then he carried out a left horizontal slash that was also followed by a right horizontally. After the chain of attacks he re-sheath his sword, cancelling the flow of chakra and ending the technique as he lands gracefully, with the logs falling in even tinier pieces behind him

Yoshimune clapped his hands as the man performed flawlessly.

"Great job. Keep in mind that this technique can be done in a variety of ways so long as its shortrange of course. I did the flying thing because I thought it was cool to do. Work on your technique a bit and you are sure to grow stronger."

Quickly realizing he may have offended him, Yoshimune waves his hands in a criscross motion with an embarrased look on his face.

"Not that you aren't strong now. You're actually way better than me."

He then grunted a bit and regained his composure.

"Well anyways, lets continue with the next technique shall we?"

Yoshimune took out another scroll only this time he decided not to show it off. He handed it to the man and spoke.

"Here, take a look at it then perform it for me as best you can. Don't worry about messing up. You will have many opportunities to test it out and/or practice with it. Better to look like a fool in training than a as a dead man in battle. Remember that.

Okay, perform this on that tree over there. Remember to clear your mind."

(Futsunushi no giman) - Sword God's Deception
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user channels a strong, yet precise amount of chakra to their blade while gripping the handle and while still in the scabbard. The user then quickly unsheathes his sword which is imbued with a red-like glow. He then points forward with it and dashes towards his opponent's stomach area. The user intentionally misses his mark and instead, as his sword passes behind his opponent, he slashes back and releases the chakra from the sword, causing a powerful slash to the back. While the sword is still embedded into the enemies back, the user lifts the opponent up and off the floor, then slams them back on the floor again, face down. This is all done in a quick, clean motion and with his sword. The user then steps on the opponent's back and swings his sword rapidly and returns his sword back to his scabbard, ending the technique.

Aj had not taken offense to the man's words regarding his strength, but enjoyed the his reaction as he attempted to salvage himself. He took the scroll and studied it carefully before performing the technique inscribed.

He once again settled into the Battōjutsu stance, placing his right hand on the hilt of his sword as he channels a precise amount of chakra into the blade. He quickly unsheathes his sword which is now coated in a red-like glow and points it forward as he dashes towards an imaginary opponent's stomach area. He intentionally missed his mark and as his sword passes behind the opponent, he slashes backwards and releases the chakra from his sword, causing a powerful slash to the back. While the sword is still embedded into the opponent's back, her lifts them into the air and slams them back facedown on the floor. Aj then steps on the opponent's back and swings his sword briskly, returning it to its scabbard and ending the technique.

Yoshimune is surprised at such good swordsmanship.

"Very well done. I think we are done for now. I'll come back to you with some more training when I get a chance. In the meantime, keep working on your skills, both with the sword and with your mind. You never know when you will be called upon to help those you cherish."

With that, the swordsman disappeared after walking off into the distance. His return was only momentary as eventually the two would meet again someday.

It had been quite some time since Aj and Yoshimune went their separate ways, but as the man had said when they last parted, it was only a matter of time until they would meet again. Swordsmen tended to attract each other by some strange twist of fate, but it was yet to be know if this was a good or bad thing. Nevertheless, Aj waited from his conspirator to arrive. It was now time for him to return the favor.

Kakashi arrived just as expected, eager to learn and understand more about his passion, swords. If there was anything quite as intruiging as his Icha Icha books, it was his fascination with myths and legends especially pertaining to weapons of all sorts. He wasn't a stranger to their use but he wasn't no master either. One could call him a Jack-of-all-trades and would be right on the money. Anyways, he stood there looking at his friends with the usual stoic demeanor that was Kakashi.

"Yo."

He waved and smiled though because of his mask, it was hard to tell.

The waving hand immediately caught his attention, and Aj removed a scroll from the pouch on his thigh as he walked over to the man. The scroll depicted the movements needed to perform the technique he'd be teaching today, it's uses, and it's restrictions.

"Straight down to business shall we?"

(Kenjutsu: Sōdo Yajirushi) Sword Art: Sword Arrow
Type: Attack
Rank: A
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user will channel raw chakra into their sword and perform a simple thrust to trick an enemy into thinking that the thrust was the extent of the attack. However, as the user fully extends his arm he will use shape manipulation to release the stored chakra in the form of a green arrow that measures about three feet in length, that travels at a considerable speed. The arrow would be incredibly sharp, so much so that it's able to split apart techniques of the same rank and below. Once the chakra is released the user can will it to split into four parts in order to attack multiple opponents, or a single opponent from different sides.
-Can only be used twice per battle

"I love this. It's similar to my Haridō Jutsu but a more practical approach. Not only is it usable by both samurai and non, it can also accommodate to multiple enemies. I like the range on this one as well which makes me all the more honored to learn it from you. You really did a nice job creating it. So basically as it says, it's more of a feint followed by a "chakra arrow" that is able to break apart techniques especially solid ones. Although from the looks of it, it isn't like a giant arrow. But it is good to use in conjunction with some taijutsu.

Well now, would you like me to perform it or will my opinion on it work enough for you?"

"You've already explained it quite well, so you won't need to perform it. While not a 'Giant' arrow, it is fairly large in and of itself. Now then, do you have something for me?"

"Ah very nice. As to my end of the deal, here is a scroll for you to browse through. Tell me what you like although some of them are...taken. But I am happy to teach you what is left."

On my sig is a link to my customs. Check them out and when you find something you like, post it here and discuss/perform it, and it's yours. ^__^

Aj opens the scroll to reveal the technique that was depicted therein. Kaminokaze No Danmaku. He read it over briefly and imagined it in his head for a moment. He closed the scroll and looked up towards the man who had tossed it.

(Kaminokaze no danmaku) - Divine Wind Barrage
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user channels a strong, yet precise amount of chakra to the blades of two swords while gripping the handles and while still in their respective scabbards. The user then quickly unsheathes the swords which are imbued with a red-like glow. The user then bends his dominant right leg slightly and towards the back, allowing the left leg to move forward slightly. The user then points the swords in an eastward position, his right arm holding the sword parallel to his stomach and the left hand holding the sword above and parallel to his head. The user then motions his right hand back, using it as a momentum builder so that once it comes back to its eastward position it propels the user into a spinning motion, slashing the opponent about four times. While spinning, the user places the weight of the body onto the left leg, spinning on it as he continues slashing and tilting slightly as well at a sort of sideways angle. After the fourth slash, instead of another slash, the user kicks the opponent in the face in a sideways motion similar to one of the sword slashes just performed, dropping the opponent into the floor and ending the technique.
Note: Can only be used 3 times per battle

"So I'd begin by channeling my chakra again into the blades, causing a red glow to form around the. I then bend my dominant leg slightly and slide it backwards, allowing my left leg to move forward slightly. After that I'd point my swords in an eastward with my right arm holding a sword parallel to my stomach and the left hand holding the sword above and parallel to my head"

As Aj explained the technique, he slowly executed the movements.

"After this I'd move my right hand back, using it to build momentum and propel myself into a spinning motion, slashing the the target four times. While spinning, I place the weight of my body onto my left leg and tilt slightly to the side. After the last slash is executed I'd kick the target, sending him slamming into the ground"

Upon executing the last part of the technique as he explained it simultaneously, he'd immidiated stop spinning and return his swords to their sheath

So I am interested in learning this little trinket from you:

(Kenjutsu: Chikyū Seishin No Mukui) Sword Art: Earth Spirit's Reckoning
Type: Attack/Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user gathers an immense amount of chakra that is kneaded inside the body and channelled into a sword held vertically behind the user's back with both hands. The chakra will pool to the edge of the blade that faces towards the user and be released all at once as the sword is swung in a vertical downward motion. The released chakra will appear as a quick flash of green that acts as a kind of thruster to increases the speed and force of the swing tremendously, so much so that it is able to shatter the ground around the user up to mid range, and destroy earthen structures of the same rank or below. The shattering of the ground gives rise to a dust cloud that obscures the vision of both the user and the opponent. The Main focus of this techniques, which is to destroy the ground, also serves to unearth objects lying beneath the surface, such as people or summonings which are traveling through the earth. Due to the force of the impact and damage caused to the sword, this technique can only be used three times. Upon being used the third time, the sword's blade will shatter.
~Can only be used three times per battle.
~Cannot be used consecutively.
So tell me what you need me to do?

Also remember...

Kenjutsu = Sword Technique
Kendō = Sword Art

Tell me how it works and it's yours. I'll also answer any questions you have.

Also, Kendo is closest to meaning 'Way of the Sword' or if you want to get specific 'Sword Way'. I know that Kenjustu is closest to meaning Sword Technique, but I just like the way 'Sword Art' sounds. 'Jutsu' itself has more than one meaning. So 'Ken' (sword) and Jutsu (Technique, Skill, Method, Spell, Trick), could have varying meanings.

Yeah but way of the sword is similar to sword art so I lump them together. At least for cosmetic purposes but thats just semantics.

Thanks for the enlightenment senpai.

Lol had to see the gif to understand it better. >_>

Anyways, as you make a downwards slash with both hands originating from your right shoulder (since I am right handed), the chakra that you had channeled to the tip (right?) is then released as you are about to hit the ground. The released chakra looks like a green lightning-like strke that then shatters the ground up to mid range. This is a good advantage to use when your opponent uses earth hiding technique like Hiding like a mole or for when they have summonings like Ibuse for example that hide under the ground, revealing their location. Is it safe to assume that it also hurts them...right? o-o

Other than that it's pretty straightforward to me and one of the most helpful ken cj I've had up to date. The dustcloud that happens afterwards though is like a double-edged sword. If you're not careful you can end up putting yourself in harms way. I would definitely try to combine this with a smoke or ash cloud technique to further give you an advantage. But its more a less a good cover for stealthy jutsu if you know how to use them.

Anything to add, senpai?
