i personally don't think gaara needs shukaku. naruto is all about match ups. there's a reason these two have never fought in a real 1v1.
gaara's sand snuffs out ANY for of black flame sasuke could muster. If gaara can fight madara without being caught in a genjutsu, I think he would be fine against sasuke. I would be willing to bet his sand is still liter thx to oonoki as well. It's not like any other jutsu is a final fantasy haste spell that only lasts a few turns. Gaara also has some his dans golden sand as well. Last and not least, garra's ultimate defense is beefed up

Although Gaara is my favorite character, he will lose against Sasuke. All Sasuke has to do is use Fire Release since Sand turns to Glass in high heat. I'm not sure if Susanoo arrows pierces through sand. If the environment is a desert, then Gaara would win Medium Difficulty. This is entirely my opinion.

Amaterasu has never 1 hit ko'd anyone. Plus gaara easily blocks with sand.

Sasuke has no counter for this

its not hot enough for that. i thought it was lightning that makes glass and chidori failed to do this
