Perfect you beat me too it. I think Kishi actually drew a diagram of this at some point. It was just not apparent how slugs were better then snakes since the slugs were always used for defensive purposes.

Or he could just evade the acid...fool. It should have been clear to anyone with common sense that Oro would die if he took a direct hit from that acid even before this chapter came out, but now Tsunade fans are spazzing out.
