Katsuya original size is same as Hashirama budha summon because while Katsuya was assisting Tsunade and other hokages,it was helping Sakura heal the shinobi alliaince (about 1000+ shinobi )against jubito.Plus Katsuya original body is in it home forest

Katsuya defense against Hashirama summon ,particularly Budha summon:
Katsuya have a special ability that allow her to split to any size it want.This is a very good evasive skill to counter the budhaa 1000 or any of Hashirama summon since they donot perform any jutsu.

Katsuya offensive abilitiy :
Katsuya can shoot or spray acid on anything and it will break down within seconds

Even a master regenerator like orichimaru can be kill by Katsuya acid release.

If Katsuya in it orginal form (full katsuya size) spray acid on the statue it will destroy it.Katsuya can also destroy the statue by dividing into smaller size and attack at every angle of the statue with acid.

The problem is you have Katsuyu's size wrong.

1. Katsuyu is the size of Gammabunta and Manda.

2. When Sakura summoned Katsuyu, we learnt she summoned only half of her. This confirmed that Gamakichi and Aoda were only half the size of their parents.

3. As such, her full size is roughly around a Bijuu size... Thus dwarfed by Shinsusenju.

Well first, katsuya is not the size of the buddha you useless piece of fodder.

Second, logically I see where you're coming from, she is basically immune to physical attacks and any attempted grabbing m the buddha get's countered by splitting in 1000's mini clones of herself.

and third I dont see her acid being a big problem here... the amount and size of acid that she displayed seem to be the size of manda. The acid would be like ant in front of the buddha.

Katsuya is not an offensive summoning, it much more of a support summoning i.e. medical, i highly doubt it will beat Hashirama's Sage Art: Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands jutsu, which is on par with Kurama in Madara's Susano.
