Hmmm, better. We'll proceed onwards.

Now for this next technique we're going to add shape manipulation. I'll do a quick recap of shape manipulation; basically it's the shaping of chakra for desired affects. When you combine shape manipulation with nature manipulation you essentially make a more effective technique and you give a distinctive definition to the technique.

You even did shape manipulation when you used exhaled the fire into a ball just now which compacted the chakra. Now with this, I want you to do the same thing only with a few differences.

(1) I want you to use more chakra this time since we're getting into whole, bigger fire picture now,

(2) I want you to use a little more advanced shape manipulation and I want you to shape the fire into the shape of a Dragon's head.

Now I want you to aim for that bolder in the distance. The amount of fire you place into the technique, the natural speed of the element, the compact chakra into the shape of a dragon's head, should have the ability to completely destroy the bolder on impact and should leave a fire where the bolder used to be. Don't hurt yourself.

Here i go

* I start by imagining a fiery dragon head, I concentrate and start gathering large sum of chakra in my stomach, I then mold it into fire chakra and then channel it through my lungs and into my mouth, I then concentrate and start shaping it into a dragon's head , I inhale through my nose deeply and then exhale a large fire ball in the shape of a dragon's head towards the bolder*

Excellent!

Now, I want you to do the same thing only fire, five dragon headed fireballs into the sky. You're going to essentially do the same thing as before, however, instead of releasing all the chakra all at once into the one fireball you're going to ration your chakra into the five individual fireballs. This way, you can spit the fireballs in rapid succession of each other without having to pause to channel more chakra into your mouth. The flames in each of the fireballs will be the same size and everything, however the only difference is that they contain less chakra individually than the fireball you just did. The five fireballs you're going to create will be the equivalent to the one fireball you shot moments ago in terms of power.

Now aim them at the sky but don't forget to shape them into dragon heads ^^

Alright

* I start by gathering more chakra, I then mold it into fire chakra and concentrate on dividing it evenly, I then channel it through my lungs and into my mouth, I start shaping the fire chakras into dragon heads, I inhale deeply and then exhale out five fire balls in the shape of a dragon's head one by one into the sky*

was that alright senpai

*The clouds begin to darken and a gentle roar of thunder echos throughout the area* very good ^^ *summons a scroll* here are the techniques you've just learned my student.

~Scroll~
( Ryu Kaen Bakufuu ) - Dragon Flame Blitz
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user shoots balls of fire at the opponent.

Simplistic enough, you create moderate sized balls of fire at your opponent. This technique is rudimentary so of course it's not going to have too much power and distance in it's travel, but still effective enough to cause burns for your opponent and use as a potential distraction.

( Kaen Shuriken Ranbu ) - Blazing Shuriken Dance
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will throw several shuriken at the enemy and then inflames them with fire to cause extra damage.

Again simple, you launch shuriken (kunai and other small bladed projectiles will work as well) and you enhances their power by channeling your fire chakra into them and enflaming them. Hot, sharp, metal, always something good.

( Katon: Komakai Kaki ) - Fire Release: Small Fire
Rank: D
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user spews a small fireball.

It...it can't get anymore straight forward than that can it? -_-

( Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, a ninja inhales air, and utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally.

Think of the former technique above this one, the make up of this technique is basically the same only this time the ball of fire is on a larger scale. You'll preform the six seals stated in the technique while you inhale. You'll then blow through a hole in your finger and the flames will ignite past it and you use shape manipulation to shape the flames. It's only short distance though keep that in mind.

( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

This is where the projectile techniques begin to get more unique. With this technique you preform the six seals required for the technique and you spew a volley of fireballs instead of just a single fireball. If you think back to the D-ranked technique above, (Dragon Flame Blitz) this technique is similar to that, although you spew the balls of flame in an unpredictable pattern so it seems like a whild shot. What makes this technique different is that you continue to manipulate the flames with your chakra in order to make it more difficult for your opponent to avoid them.

( Bakuhatsu Enhogan ) – Exploding Flame Shots
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user shoots multiple fire shots from their hands that are able to cause fiery explosions on impact with any object. The shots can't set the opponent on fire, though they can cause damage by exploding on him.

This technique is unique in that it isn't released in the same fashion as most Fire techniques. Instead of exhaling fire, you expell the fire shots from your hand. With this technique you compact the chakra in the flame shots so that when they make contact with the target or surface of something they explode. It doesn't cause fire or burn them the way a normal fire technique would but it damages them through the explosion.

( Katon: Hiendan ) – Fire Release: Soaring Flame Bullet
Rank: B
Type: Offense, Deffence
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user exhales a stronger yet shorter version of the Fire Release: Great Fireball technique.

Description says it all, same exact technique as Great Fireball, only bigger. In the sense, this technique proves better to use as it's stronger, requires no seals to do.

( Katon: Gōenkyū ) - Fire Release: Great Blaze Ball
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user after performing two hand seals Horse → Tiger exhales a meteor-sized sphere of fire that carries the enemy away and causes a massive explosion on impact.

This is a great technique, large range of travel, large size, everything. You make the two hand seals and you simply pour an imense amount of chakra and spew out a fireball the size of a meteor that travels towards your taget and carries them away and creates a huge explosion.

( Katon: Gōenka ) - Fire Release: Great Flame Flower
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user jumps in the air and shoots three giant bullets of fire that come down like giant meteors, then erupt into a geyser of flame.

Similar to the above technique in the whole size, range and power thing, only this time you're launching three seprate meteor sized flames down towards the ground. You'll jump and release the flames and when they make impact on the ground, they'll erupt into large geysers of flames.

( Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user fires several large dragon-shaped fireballs at their opponent after performing one handseal. It is able to alter localized weather conditions to the point of making thunder clouds when shot into the air, enabling the user to perform Kirin.

Remember when we turned our flame balls into dragon heads? Good times . This is a powerful and useful technique. It can travel long range and it has great power on it's own. However this technique's main purpose is stated in it's description. You use it to create the weather conditions to set up for Kirin, the Lightning Release technique. With this technique you spew one/several (up to five I believe) Fire balls that are shaped like Dragon heads. They can be used for offensive purposes to attack your opponent or to set up for Kirin, but doing the latter is a little more difficult to pull off then you might think

( Katon: Hōsenka Tsumabeni ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user unleashes a volley of shuriken with one hand, while at the same time exhaling fire-infused chakra onto them in order to increase the weapons' destructive potential by making them capable of inflicting severe burns upon direct contact with either the intended victim or any other object caught within their trajectories. Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken will continue to burn after impact, regardless of the flammability of the object that they ultimately collide with.

This is essentially a more powerful version of the preavious pheonix Sage technique. This time, you'll release shuriken and exhale fire onto them. The fire will be vastly stronger than the flames of the previous and will burn stronger on the target(s)

(Katon: Zukokku) - Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Rat → Dog → Tiger fires a small fireball that erupts into a giant fire-storm after making contact with a surface, causing widespread destruction to the area. Since the flames travel along the ground, and cover such a wide area this is a difficult technique to evade. When combined with Wind Release: Pressure Damage, this technique is amplified to the point of being able to evaporate a large amount of water in an instant.

This is essentially the last thing we just did I would say. With this technique, you focus a large amount of your fire chakra in your body and release it in a compact ball. The ball will travel and upon impact, it'll explode into a large flame storm. If released onto the ground the flame storm will continue to travel. A great frontal attack and greatly powerful. All you need is the three seals for the technique.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and breath out from their mouth a large fireball that travels at the opponent. As it reaches the opponent it bursts into a maelstrom of fire engulfing them in flames.

Similar to the last one, only this time you create a large fire ball and the technique isn't being compressed so much so that it'll burst into a large flame, the flames will burst on impact with your opponent but the malestorm is essentially as big as the ball of fire itself if I'm not mistaken.

Any questions? If not the head right to the template for your final test in this first method.

( Katon: Komakai Kaki ) - Fire Release: Small Fire
Rank: D
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user spews a small fireball.

* I quickly run towards my opponent while gathering chakra in my stomach, I mold it into fire chakra and channel it through my lungs and into my mouth, while im closing in my opponent I exhale a small fireball towards him*

Advantages: quick and low chakra cost, can be used to distract opponent

Disadvantages:low damaging and short ranged, can easily be doused by Suiton water wall

( Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20

Disadvantages: Takes time

Am I only being tested on the techniques I've learned or all of them in the scroll you summoned

Erra, you didn't get what I was saying. This template I'm asking you to do, I'm asking you do do is for the entire method.

Advandages of Method:
Disadvantages of Medhod:

I'm asking you to tell me what every technique in each method have in common in terms of good traits and bad traits. Every one of the techniques in the scroll has similar traits and I wanted you to look for what those traits were and how some of the traits are good and bad. I'm not looking for them individually. Let me simplify this for you. Lets make like all these techniques are noodles. They're all noodles

Advantages: Noodles are yummy
Disadvantages: Noodles slip through the fork some times.

Like that, I'm asking you to do this for the techniques in the general sense understand?

Strategies: Tell me how you could use these techniques in a fight. Give some hypathetical situations that you would use them in to make you comfortable and your opponent uncomfortable.

Combination, I gave you that example on the first page as and that fight as a means of example understand. If you're still sketchy or unsure please tell me.

Advantages: Most Katon techniques can enable the user to fire multiple attacks at once, damages range are mostly high, some of the techniques are good distractions against opponents

Disadvantages: Most are short ranged, opponent can easily avoid if its a long range battle, a few Katon techniques can be used defensively, D rank techniues can easily be dowsed with strong Suiton techniques

Strategies: You could create two clones, stand in different angles and all together use in ( Kaen Shuriken Ranbu ) - Blazing Shuriken Dance, which would make it harder for your opponent to focus on the attacks coming in different angles.
Using ( Ryu Kaen Bakufuu ) - Dragon Flame Blitz against your opponents Suiton technique to create a mist around both opponents and then use ( Bakuhatsu Enhogan ) – Exploding Flame Shots so your opponent wouldnt know where the attack was coming from.

Combinations:

combined with a strong Futon technique can increase the speed, power, and distance the attack travels.

You can utilize this technique as a good way to get your opponent into the air, as your opponent jumps into the air to avoid the attack, you too jump into the air and release ( Katon: Gōenka ) - Fire Release: Great Flame Flower
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40

Now that's better ^^

Just to add a little to your info. With projectiles like this, there is the advantage that there can be several shots fired, as most of these techniques allow for multiple shots to be fired and these shots happen in a fairly rapid succession. There is also the advantage that; once you've released that technique, you can quickly and immediately move onto your next technique. Unlike techniques where you need to constantly fuel chakra into the technique for it to remain stable, you simple release the burst or fixed amount of chakra for each technique in this method and you're done with it as far as preforming the technique.

Then you have the disadvantages which you pretty much covered over. These attacks can't be steered or directed much, if at all once they've been released. Once you fire them towards your opponent, like any other projectiles you aim and launch, they head in that direction and it's much easier to avoid them.

Any questions, or anything you'd like to add before we move on?

Well with the strategies, I'm not just asking you what you can do with only these techniques. Useing one simple set of techniques lacks versitility. You're free to think of how you could use techniques outside of this element to assist. These techniques don't have to be your primary firepower or attack, you can use any other elements you have training in or have some general knowledge about. Anything you desire really. Also if you're having trouble with strategies to think of you're more than welcome to ask.

If you're unclear of something or you can't think of anything, I ask you to fill out the template to the best of your knowledge but if you don't understand or feel as though you're not able to think of something, I can give you a push/guidance in some way and help you, it's what I'm here for ^^

Now, we can move onto method 2 which was streams and constant fires I believe. Now for this method every technique you use requires you to constantly release chakra to fuel the technique. Unlike in the last method where you simply gathered a fixed amount of chakra and then released it all in one burst, in this method, you gather your chakra, release your technique and then continuously fuel the fire and technique with chakra to sustain it. That being said, the techniques in here are more or less similar to flamethrowers in a way.

Any questions/concerns?

Alright, now to begin. I want you to channel your chakra from your core up into your mouth, just like you did with the other techniques, only this time I want you to have your chakra flow. Upon exhaling the chakra, I want you to turn it into fire, however don't release all your chakra and don't condense it into a single form. Just have breath the fire outwards somewhat like a flamethrower. Continue to pour chakra into it until you've used up the chakra you gathered earlier. ^^

Okay

* I start by gathering chakra in my stomach and then mold it into katon chakra, I then channel it through my lungs and into my mouth, I then take a deep breath through my nose and release a small stream of fire, carefully adding chakra to fuel it*

how was that senpai o.o

Pretty good, now lets move on. Now for this next technique, I want you to gather your chakra the same way as you've just done only this time you're going to exhale the flames more confined and narrow in a line. Just because you're making the flames more norrow doesn't mean you're decreasing their size. Still make sure that they are very large and powerful. You're going to exhale this stream of flames onto the ground and have it travel along it.

Now, after you have the flames travel on the ground for a little while, I want you to manipulate the flames on the ground and curve it so that you make a circle of flames. Understand?

* I start by gathering chakra, then I mold it into fire chakra and then channel it through my lungs and into my mouth, I quickly imagine a ring of fire and then exhale a stream of fire towards the ground, as it touches the ground i then curve the chakra infused fire so it forms into circle while adding chakra to fuel the flames carefully*

Good, good. Now we're going to work together to do this next one. I'm going to create a dragon head out of mud using my earth chakra. He's going to spit out several shots of mud. When he does I want you to spew out a stream of fire onto them and make them lava balls. Just like we did when we first started this method. Oh and watch how I do this next series of techniques because they will demonstrate to you how you do a two/three move combination.

*I begin by making the tiger hand seal channeling my earth chakra out in front of me. I loosen the structure of the ground, creating a flowing river of mud out in front of me.

(Doton: Doryū Taiga) - Earth Release: Earth Flow River
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After forming the needed hand sealTiger, the user transforms the ground underneath their opponent into a river of mud that throws them off balance and away from the user. The mud created by this technique can also be used as a medium for the Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet technique.

The moment after I create the river of mud, I make the ram, horse and dragon seal, continuing with my focus of earth chakra and a large blob emerges from the mud in the shape of a dragon head and it begins shooting several balls of mud from it's mouth

(Doton: Doryudan) - Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: When used with Earth Release: Earth Flow River, the user will then perform the Ram → Horse → Dragon they can create a dragon-like head to fire concentrated mud at an opponent. This can also be combined with a fire jutsu to shoot lava toward an opponent.

NOW!
