Well, first of all, I should mention the basics of the element. Fire, being one of the five main elements, can obviously be found in the nature, and is among the main reasons for us being alive. During the early years of humans, it gave us heat and warmth, the ability to see in the dark, and it allowed us to cook our meals. Despite this however, fire can be among the most destructive forces in the universe, being able to tear down buildings and forests with nothing more than the extreme heat of the element.
In the Narutoverse, Fire [Katon] in one of the five main Chakra natures people can possess in the NV. [With the others being Water, Wind, Earth and Lightning] It's usefulness mainly lies in the boosted offence granted by the technique. Shinobi have been seen using it to create giant balls, waves and shuriken out of the element, along with some users utilizing tools such as strings or oils to widen the variety of the element. It's naturally strong against the Wind element, seeing as the fire is 'boosted' by the oxygen in the attacks, and is naturally weak against the Water element, seeing as water naturally puts out fire. Shinobi such as Kakuzu have been shown utilizing the Fire element in conjunction with the Wind element, giving the attack an extreme boost in strength. Another example of this was Naruto using the Futon Rasenshuriken alongside Sasuke's Enton Kagutsuchi, creating an immensely powerful attack which managed to injure even the Jubi, before it shed the part which was on fire.
The fire element is also used alongside 1-2 other elements when it comes to people using Kekkei Genkai's. So far it has been shown to be included in:
- Lava Release - When used in conjunction with Earth.
- Boil Release - When used in conjunction with Water.
- Scorch Release - When used in conjunction with either Lightning or Wind.
- Dust Release - When used in conjunction with Earth and Wind.

Noticing the similarities between the technique and the first one, Itachi goes with the same method as before, gathering Chakra into his lungs before heating it up. After inhaling, he steps back with his left leg for balance, before exhaling and releasing the Chakra out of his mouth, while making sure that the fire stay in the form of a ball.
Katon: Komakai Kaki!
As he releases the orb, he aims it towards the dummy on the field, enveloping it in a ball of fire as the technique hits. After regaining his previous position, he stands still while waiting for another order to come.

..At which point he exhales, carefully releasing the gas into the air. After emptying his lungs, Itachi draws out a match, lights it and tosses towards the gas, which in turn ignites into a large ball of fire, completely enveloping the dummy in front of him.

The core technique of fire release. Concentrate deeply and gather chakra towards your lungs. When gathering enough condense it like always keeping it under control. Nature manipulate it into fire chakra and take a deep breathe, release the fire chakra by exhaling towards the dummy to take aim. You will continue to release the fire chakra to make it into a stream of fire until it reaches the dummy and burn him.
Concentrating the Chakra into my lungs, I heat up to a sufficient degree before leaning back and inhaling. After stepping back, I exhale and release the Chakra, releasing a stream of fire which hits the dummy infront of me.

The famous jutsu of the Uchia, now its name is large but lets dive into it. Though its sheer size is very impressive and can benefit you can also harm your vision. Another thing is it requires 6 hand seals the destructive power of the jutsu is impressive though and can even kill an opponent, depending on which version you use. Now their are two releases. You ca either send it as a stream of fire which spans a wide range but most consitently send it towards the opponent, or a fireball which is projectile but can only aim straightforward. Also lastly the size of the fireball can be small or large, a small one is less deadly, its faster though and can travel farther, while the large version is much powerful but is slow and only travels short range. ..Before spewing out a stream of fire towards the dummy, scorching it.
Creative uses/strengths: From the looks of it, this'd seem like a technique one would use in order to quickly push back the enemy, throwing him/her off balance. The fact that hand seals aren't needed makes it an excellent move to use in order to regain some space if you're being pressured or are being pushed back by the opponent, or if you're in a situation where you've been able to quickly approach the opponent, and need a fast attack to follow up.
Drawbacks/counters: Seeing as the technique seems to mostly revolve around releasing the current quickly, this trait would in turn lessen the power of the technique, as it takes such short time to create. That being the case, it could probably be countered by an opponent with an another quick attack of the same caliber.
Perform the technique: Itachi leans back while gathering the fire Chakra into his lungs, while heating it. After taking a step back, he forms the hand seals before leaning forward, putting his fingers in front of his lips, and exhaling..
Snake>Ram>Monkey>Boar>Horse>Tiger - Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu
..Releasing a ball of fire, which consistently envelops the dummy. After the ball has disappeared, Itachi takes a few more step back and repeats the same routine, this time shooting the ball directly towards the dummy, hitting it.
Creative uses/strengths: Aside from the obvious attacking properties of the technique [Such as using it to take out more than one opponent, using it's size to an advantage], the technique could also be used as a mechanism of defense, by utilizing the size, force and heat to melt down/throw back incoming Shuriken, Kunai, etc.
Drawbacks/counters: Aside from the fact that the technique would block the users eyesight, as you mentioned, it also seems to take up a considerable amount of time, considering the necessary hand seals and the fact that putting fingers in front of the users lips would in some instances result in the user losing valuable time in a battle. Of course, this won't be too much of an issue, especially after some practice, but I felt it was notable. :b
Perform the technique: While taking the lighter out of his pocket, Itachi channels the Fire Chakra into it, before tossing it in front of him, at which points he yells out the command..

..Which in turn prompts the small flame to turn into a flaming wall, in front of Itachi.
Creative uses/strengths: After reading the description, a few ways it could be combined with a Futon attack popped into my mind, such as firing the Wind attack through the wall, in turn lighting it on fire before it hits the opponent..Would that be plausible?
Drawbacks/counters: Well, there is of course the aforementioned blocking of eyesight, which I shouldn't need to cover. There are two other drawbacks I've been pondering about, which I'm not too certain about..Which kind of depend on the answers to my questions below.

1) Do I need to constantly keep up the shield with my Chakra, or does it stay activated?
2) Does the shield move along with me?
3) If it's not hit, how long will it stay up?
Okay it seems as if you had questions and a couple of iffy parts.
2) No it does not, it simply stays in place where you set it.
3) Again it will stay up until you say so, your chakra will remain in the fire wall.

( Katon: Hibashiri ) - Fire Release: Running Fire

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal by utilizing their fire chakra, the user will create a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target. It can also be used in combination with Wind Release: Divine Wind to create a tornado of flames, or with Wind Release: Godly Wind from the Mountains to release a massive inferno. The stream of fire can be created by stomping the ground (running across the ground in this case) or by spewing the flames (which will form an airborne ring of flames that will travel towards the enemy).
A brilliant jutsu. With one hand seal the user will send a stream of chakra either through their mouths or by stomping on the ground. They can be shaped in two ways either a circle shaped running through the air, or stream through the ground and when it gets in range trap the opponent in a inferno if flames. This jutsu has a great mobility to it. You can trap an opponent on ground making ir hard to move around great to stop quick opponents. Its also a stream based technique.
( Katon: Ryuka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique

Description: The user will perform four handseals Snake ? Dragon ? Rabbit ? Tiger , and breathe fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.
Okay this is a rather simple technique nothing to much about it, you will get a cord and send it towards the opponent, then using 4 hand seals you breathe through the cord and send fire through towards it burning the opponents upper body when caught. A great thing for the technique is you can use many opponents as a conductor to attack multiple targets. Though its a very straightforward technique.
( Katon: Karyudan ) - Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet

With one hand seal you will exhale a a breathe of fire. Nothing much to add to the technique. Its starightforward and a added note is you can use it in conjuction with the Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet to ignite the rock and make a devastating attack.
This will most likely not work, fire feeds on the wind. So if you shoot a wind towards the fire wall it will simply increase in size, though it can allow you to create a more powerful wall. That is pretty much all wind really does, it can simply increase the size and power of the flames.
1) It stays active until you disperse yourself or your opponent destroys it.
2) No it does not, it simply stays in place where you set it.
3) Again it will stay up until you say so, your chakra will remain in the fire wall.

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal by utilizing their fire chakra, the user will create a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target. It can also be used in combination with Wind Release: Divine Wind to create a tornado of flames, or with Wind Release: Godly Wind from the Mountains to release a massive inferno. The stream of fire can be created by stomping the ground (running across the ground in this case) or by spewing the flames (which will form an airborne ring of flames that will travel towards the enemy).
A brilliant jutsu. With one hand seal the user will send a stream of chakra either through their mouths or by stomping on the ground. They can be shaped in two ways either a circle shaped running through the air, or stream through the ground and when it gets in range trap the opponent in a inferno if flames. This jutsu has a great mobility to it. You can trap an opponent on ground making ir hard to move around great to stop quick opponents. Its also a stream based technique.

Description: The user will perform four handseals Snake ? Dragon ? Rabbit ? Tiger , and breathe fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.
Okay this is a rather simple technique nothing to much about it, you will get a cord and send it towards the opponent, then using 4 hand seals you breathe through the cord and send fire through towards it burning the opponents upper body when caught. A great thing for the technique is you can use many opponents as a conductor to attack multiple targets. Though its a very straightforward technique.
