It seems like you're comparing the Naruto world with the real word, sorry but you can't compare them. Killing or trying to killing somebody is completely different than killing somebody irl. And Sasuke's crimes aren't that bad.
This is verging into an entirely different discussion I'm tired of repeating endlessly in every new Naruto-related forum I end up going to, but I will leave it at this - yes, Sasuke's crimes are that bad, and by the rules and laws of the Naruto world he should be hunted down and exterminated - or at the very least, imprisoned for an indefinite period of time - as a rogue shinobi and international criminal. If you fail to comprehend why, then you may have an even more skewed view of things than Danzou did.
Sasuke has saved the world multiple times now, anything he's done in the past is irrelevant.
damn a bit late to reply to this lol wish id seen it sooner! nah who said anything about danzo becoming a hokage? that dudes wrong for the job but that doesn't make him the worst. he just wasn't fit for one job but he was a good support for that job they just shouldn't of relied on one person so much. if hiruzen or the other 2 elders had just stepped up a bit more and not burdened danzo with so many dark but necessary things than things could've turned out better and maybe danzo woulda been standing next to hiruzen when orochimaru attempted his attack and the sound 4 wouldn't have been able to kill danzo like they killed the guard hiruzen had and they would have wonOh don't get me wrong. Hammers to nails Danzo is a well written and Solid Character. For the very reasons you just mentioned. The fact that, obviously he wasn't always this way is what intrigues many of his fans. At what point did the Danzo we know come to be was probably around the time Tobirama picked Hiruzen to be the next Hokage.
My point is you can't really say the village is or would be better off with Danzo as Hokage, simply because his conviction or "will of Fire" is strong. And the mistakes as we call them he doesn't see them as mistakes. He thinks what he did was for the good of the village. It's that twisted logic that makes him so great in my opinion.
I'm sorry I know I was a bit harsh with Karin's character, but honestly it's not the fact that she has an infatuation with Sasuke that bothers me. Most of the K11 girls are into him as well even now.
My problem with her is how quickly she forgave him. Sure he saved her life....
...But he also nearly killed her so he could get at Danzo. But aesthetically, I don't find her overall design very appealing or intersting, nor do I find her bi-polar mood swings all that funny even though Iknow they are for comedic value.
Something like that, no matter the circumstances of your life, are not so easily forgiven. This is all just my opinion of course. I hav no qualms with those who are fans o hers. After all, I'm a fan of Sakura's XD
