Kankuro with scorpion puppet (+salamanda, one use only)

Sasori with 3rd kazekage puppet (original body and can't use 100 puppets)

Conditions
Both have full health and knowledge of each others techniques. This includes knowing that the iron sand will clog up the puppet
Sasori is not edo but is in his real body and therefore can be poisoned
Kankuro has access to Salamanda but can only be used once
Fight to the death

Location
Same as when they fought in first shippuden arc (the desert)


My verdict:
Not sure on this one, the iron sand could be quite overwhelming, but kankuro with scorpion is very strong. Based purely on the fact that kankuro beat edo sasori and said that he has surpassed his techniques, I'll give it to Kankuro​

it's a verse thread. People post a theoretical match up and than others say why/ why not a certain person will win lose. Is that point enough, otherwise why post?

I missed something in my original post maybe. Sasori only has his 3rd kazekage, since he is in his original body (so no chest chakra pocket thing). Both can be poisoned, kankuro does have scorpion.

Since kankuro is using scorpion than sasori doesn't know everything about them. Kankuro modified it before the kage arc, hence various features would be new, take for example the machine triangle jutsu.

Since kankuro has full knowledge from there last fight and chiyo's he knows about this strategy.

restrictions make sasori win but normally kankuro have a litlle chance to win ,he stated himself that his black secret jutsu is surpassed sasori's red secret jutsu ( 100 puppets)
people seems to forget that kankuro is a general in the war.

It doesn't matter what the conditions are. If Kankuro faces Sasori in a 1 versus 1 fight in an isolated place (no other people), Kankuro would die (again).

Sasori is the creator of all 3 of Kankuro's main puppets. He knows them inside and out. He knows their weak points and uses. If they fought again it would be the same outcome.
