Long ranged Kamui also isn't bypassing Yata because the latter acts as an invisible wall. It would be like saying if a wall were to be placed between Kakashi and his opponent, then Kakashi would still be able to Kamui past a wall and to the opponent, which clearly won't be the case since there is a blockage in the way. In the case of the Yata, it's an inter-dimensional blockage. Kamui has to go through Yata first before reaching Itachi, and that won't happen when the Yata can specifically repel those kinds of jutsus. In other words, the Yata Mirror is an astral repellant.

That's not how long range Kamui works though.
Unlike Amaterasu which travels in a linear path, the dimensional barrier opens where the user is focusing his eyesight.
The technique would literally have zero interaction with the mirror. If Kamui did travel in a linear path to reach the target, then it would be blocked by Yata Mirror.

True, but the problem is how can he make the warping magically appear past the "thickness" (for lack of a better term) of something that's coming in between. Where has Kakashi shown the ability to make his Kamui converge exactly to where he's looking while having some kinds of blockage present?
