Except there is nothing to block with kamui, because it's distorting space, it's moving something, not seeking to destroy it, and, unless Yata has some special ability to anchor itself in reality, it would get kamui'd away.

If the Kamui's property and effect get in "touch" with Yata, i.e. starts the process of removing it from a reality, Yata adapts its attributes to Kamui and negates it. At least, it's how I'm gathering all these things.
