None of them have the necessary speed to match Itachi. Itachi has clones which he can send after each mask and prevent them from going to Kakuzu. Amaterasu is one shot as as well. He'd easily light them all up. Shuriken jutsu which not even rinnegan's linked vision could follow.

smh there are requirements for a person to be considered alive. These characters are alive, but in different forms. They were previously human, meaning they retain their human characteristics in different forms. Cranial nerve is formed in a different way, and if it wasn't, they wouldn't be able to be alive. Everything in the body is there for a reason, and if you take something away, you die.
Even if I'm wrong, genjutsu isn't the only way to prevent the masks from helping kakuzu.

Thats not how Amaterasu works. It covers based on LoS of the target. If the target is as small as a bird, it will extend the size of a bird. Human to Human like-size. Buijuu to Buijuu like-size.

so how did this counter what I said? Kakuzu is human sized, and Itachi has no problem in casting human sized Amaterasu.

Stop arguing as if my argument states that they are working away/separated from Kakuzu. The only time I actually argued them separated is when Itachi has his eye locked-in on Kakuzu for Amaterasu.

Never thought of that. That actually does counter amaterasu to an extent. Itachi would be low on chakra after it fails, so this fight would be closer than I would have thought.

But what if Amaterasu lands square in Kakuzu's face? Would he be able to rearrange his anatomy completely?
