If kakuza abilities were nurf to the point he only collected basic element users when he should have stole hearts from kekkei genka users... thus if he did kill hash he wouldve taken his heart for wood release...duhhh

Ok, so he fought (and presumably killed) the strongest ninja of his generation (and probably more to come), but was manhandled by a Naruto that was learning how to infuse elemental chakra on his jutsu. Therefore the only logical conclusion is that pre-senjutsu Naruto > EMS Madara + Kyuubi.

This is one of the frustrating things about NB in recent times.. This scan shouldn't have been needed. He implies he fought the first. How on earth does that now suggest he killed the first?

If he had all the powers he had when introduced then he could have potentially killed Hashi by pretending to be dead and then stabbing him in the back while his guard is down.

This is actually what should have happened to Kakashi were it not for plot no jutsu. Kakashi sneak attacked Kakuzu and stabbed him in the heart. Kakuzu gets the chance to return the favor and just kicks him instead of killing him, plot no jutsu at its worst.

Having said all of that, Kakuzu definitely never killed Hashi, I don't see how he could have done it if he didn't have the powers that he had when introduced, in otherwords, if he didn't have pseudo immortality.

And if you argue that he had those powers when he faced Hashi, then why didn't Kakuzu have mokuton? Because there is no way you can expect anyone to believe that he wouldn't have taken Hashi's heart.

Kakazu could have assassinated him. Hashirama was care free guy after all. Tobirama was also killed by 20 fodders, so its not that far fetched. But wasn't it stated that hashirama defeated kakazu? Or were those fans drawing conclusions.

As per your own theory, kakazu would have to stab him in the heart or cut his neck to be sure. Stabbing in the heart seems easier. He could only take hearts if they were undamaged like he was trying to take kakashi's. :hint:

Instead of saying “I’ll kill you like I did the first hokage”?.....or... “do you think you stand a chance if the 1st hokage didn’t”?....... reach for those stars

I mean... i cant really explain Kakuzus impractical use of diction... but you have to admit, the evidence is there, and there is more pointing to kakuzu killed hashi then not

it was mentioned in the databooks, but i dont think those are considered canon
