You've never debated that with me .-. but he does beat him. Why wouldn't he have intel when he's with his partner? Hidan is a fool at times and most likely will be thrashing about yelling when he's in the mist. I didn't say Zabuza > Hidan But in this matchup it doesn't matter.
Mist is never being set up, Hidan just runs in to attack. Doubt Kakuzu could give less of a shit about his partner's intel anyways, at least not for the first 5 seconds of the match-up. If Mist is made Deid makes him and Hidan go airborne while they drop bombs on a sightless Kakuzu/zZabuza.
What? How would Deidara know where Hidan is in the mist .-. Why wouldn't he? Just like he was always cautioning Hidan on his opponents abilities. If mist is up, Hidan is stuck and it will be that much harder. Deidara gets taken down by a already waiting fuuton mask as Kakuzu's bound to know he's going to fly up when the mist is there so having the mask just wait catches him off guard.
Because he'd be right next to him from the start? This match isn't starting in a mist, it's set up after. Deidara would obviously know where Hidan was and go airborne. And ok, Kakuzu tells about Hidan's ability. Doesn't matter when Deidara has taken him airborne with him. And what? How will Kakuzu's mask know where Deidara is after he's gone airborne? Even if he knows he's going to fly, he won't know where to given his lack of sight.
Mist is never being set up? Zabuza made the jutsu with just one hand seal, and he has roughly the same speed Hidan has, so he could perfectly put up the mist and dodge hidan. Don't underrated Zabuza's CQC skills, after all he did beat a sharingan user.
Same logic as you said, mist wasn't from the start so Kakuzu will know where Deidara was, and his fuuton is large enough so that firing it when they can't even see even for a second ends them honestly.
I'd say he's much slower than Zabuza in CQC, Kakashi in part 1 is a bad representation of his part 2 speed. And again, point is, Deidara takes Hidan into the air with him and they pretty much win from that point on.
But Deidara goes into the air after the mist is set-up? So again, how will he know where Deidara is? He'll know his previous location, but not his current one. And no, Deidara just needs to fly upwards to dodge it.
