Zabuza is actually faster according to the data books

Databooks do too much contradicting. Hidan has good speed and incredible agility. Hidan kept up with Asuma and Kakashi no problem, and didn't get tagged by either two even once. Pound for pound he's a better fighter than Zabuza, but Zabuza's mist is very deadly.

Zabuza kept up with Part 2 Kakashi and blitzed Part 1 Kakashi who is faster than Hidan and has better reflexes with his Sharingan. Zabuza has shown to be faster manga and data book wise. They are tied for Taijutsu according to the data books too. Zabuza was a Legendary Swordsman, he is on par if not above Deidara in fighting

Like I said databooks dont mean much, the two of them didn't do as much as put a single scratch on him, in fact Asuma was tagged by Hidan despite Hidan having to dodge shikamarus shadow sewing at the same time as fighting Asuma.
