Kakashi's Rank Level

Kakashi was considered kage material and shikaku Shikamaru's father who is the jonin Representative Nominated kakashi to be the hokage and the feudal lord and those other people nearly considered him till danzo said his rant and he may have even used shi shui's eye to sway there decision.
and was nearly appointed Hokage till tsundae regained Consciousness.

I think for sure he is a kage level ninja, the only real disadvantage he has is his low stamina/chakra. Imagine if he was a Uzumaki or Senju decedent?!

Kakashi is def kage level..maybe not a high kage but a kage regardless! The leaf village wouldn't just nominate any rookie to be hokage..obviously they need a strong shinobi to protect the village!! And its really unfair for you to compare other kages skill to kakashi..u have seen kakashi fight through out the series and are too familar with his skill..maybe u grew boring of it and find it refreshing to learn about the other kages skill since the war up until now! You can't tell me that kamui isn't a powerful jutsu..he have learn to master it since after the begining of shippuden! Imo kakashi can beat up anyone..except for nagato and tobi!! He can def put up a good fight with itachi......well..unless itachi get serious lol.

He's Kage rank but just about. People like Nagato and Itachi are very high Kage rank, and then there's people like Hashirama and Madara who are basically Gods xd

kakashi may have lost some fights. probably most of them. but that doesnt mean that he's weak. keep in mind that kakashi became a team player ever since that incident with obito. he learned that friends are more important than anything else in battle. so in fights, he's more concerned protecting his teammates rather than just thinking about winning them. if he didnt care much about he's teammates and his only concern is just winning, i doubt if he would have lost to those fights. btw, when he was nominated as tsunades replacement as hokage, i doubt if there's anybody else in par with his skills that existed in konoha that time. he would have killed danzo if they fought.

yeah if he didnt have to protect team 10 so much he might have just killed hidan and he pretty much killed kakazu he killled 2 hearts and and got the last blow so he has to be kage level XD

i know, right? he could have won those fights, but hes always sacrificing himself to protect others.

Kakashi got the position of kage becauseafter danzo died he was actually the strongest ninja in the villiage(excluding naruto who is to young) At least from what we have been shown. Tsunade was in a coma jiraiya was dead and so was danzo(plus i think he could have killed his old butt. Inzanagi is the only thing that may have made danzo the victor, Maybe). Their was no other option. Personally i dont think someone like naruto should never be hokage. His villiage comes seems to be just important as sasuke. He must be gay. So kakashi was the best choice.

Hi I'm new to narutobase I've been a guest here for quite a few months now, but I've finally decided to join to ask some questions.

My primary question is why do people think Kakashi is kage level? I've read before that people believe that S rank is equal to kage rank and that's fine. In my opinion it's hard to be kage rank unless you're an actually kage xD. But to my knowledge and opinion kakashi cannot beat any kage's can he? Nor (barring Tsunade) beat the Sannin.

After reading the recent war, and you see all the skills and feats from the recent kage's and the feats from the previous kage, Kakashi's level seems nowhere near. I know that he was considered from the Kage position in the Leaf Village, but personally for me that doesn't mean anything, I think that was because of his popularity and age, he was offered the position. That being said he's is the copy ninja and has an arsenal of moves under his belt, but does that compare him to Kage's?

His main move is Kamui, when it comes to fighting higher tier people (so we've seen) and that's pretty much hit and miss, I believe he cannot practise with it because it drains too much chakra and will eventually make him blind, and when he has used it, it's not been used to the greatest efficiency minus the Kunai which he warped at point blank from Pain. So how would he fair ages the other Kage's?

Just to add something I wanted to make a list of SOME people who I think are S rank and people who I think are Kage rank.

Why is kakashi not on your list. Kakashi beat zabuza and would kill hidan(weakest of akutski) Kimimaro and haku. Why are you confused about his spot but not people he could obviously be beat.

Itachi can not cut a mountain in half. Nagato could but only at the cost of shortening his life span and using alot of his chakra. Madara cut a mountain in half on a whim. 1st hokage created a whole forest. This is the work of gods.

kakashi is kage rank...why? he fought the 7 sword men...and then he holded his ground infront of the bone guy and lady chio and with other edo tensei untill naruto came...and he came to help naruto vs tobi with his ms activated...he fought 3 uncompleted bejuu and cutted thier hands which so far nobody done in te full anime and manga....yet he is still alive and talking. bro kakashi is on rampage ^_^

and dont forget he fought the bijuu also before naruto turing to bm...kakashi and gai vs 6 bijuu ^_^ and stayed alive.

I think kakashi is Kage rank for not only his ninja abilities but also his deep understanding of people. Team 7 has had a deep and sorrow relationship and when there is a conflict with someone not understanding it namely sai, he able to help them comprehend how they are feeling.

He's been a great leader and he's a great tactician. For the council it was an easy decision to pick kakashi as the sixth hokage.

I'm not about to get in to a debate on what level I think Kakashi is on, but people using "kage level because he was considered for hokage" is incorrect. That would be a viable response if there were a lot of hokage candidates in Konoha, but he was the only one.

Saying "he was considered over Danzo" isn't very viable, either. For one, the elders, I imagine, thought he would just continue to command the ANBU, and Shikaku knew what Danzo was up to, which is why he didn't want him as the hokage.

Because I believe being able to beat certain people doesn't make you that particular level, for instance, mind transfer jutsu, ino's clan could possibly take out tsunade, does that make her Kage level? Or when saskuke beat orochimaru does that make him sannin level? I don't believe so, gennins can beat jounins doesnt mean they are jounins in my books it just means they can beat them. Kakashi isn't in my list because the whole point of the thread was the discussion where people thought he stood =D. Shikamaru beat hidan who is S rank... But I would never class Shikamaru as S rank either but that's just my opinion. thankyou for replying

Part 2 Kakashi is low kage level while part 1 Kakashi is high Jounin level. His strength compares to Tsunade, Mei,early shippuden Gaara, deidara and Hebi Sasuke.

How u know?? u don't see what i meant.. i watched video of madara vs 1st hokage and their fight look reeeeallllyy normal, nothing serious like as madara in his perfect susanoo form.
