Kakashi intelligence is greater than itachi. In the manga itself it said that his intelligence rivals shikamaru and nose that rivals Kiba. Itachi spent years around tobi and never figurered out how to kill him. Kakashi 3 meeting during a war while he has to exhasuted figured it out. Kakasi intelligence is greater than Itachi.

Wasn't it Kakashithat came up with the shadow clone idea which enabled Narutk to complete the rasengan/rasenshuriken. Something Minato himself didn't do.

People forget that even though Itachi is smart, he has all these OP techniques which allow for his plans to work more successfully. I mean if you give Kakashi Ammy, Tsukuyomi and Susanoo of course Kakashi would own 95% of people in Naruto. But Kakashi has lower chakra reserves and always has to come up with strategies in order to conserve his chakra.

Overall I think Kakashi's intelligence = Itachi's intelligence. Nothing more, nothing less.

dude after itachi graduated from the academy he went straight into anbu. kakashi didnt. thats why he was a higer rank when kakashi was FIRST joning

OK but thats not what he said. he said he was Kakashi's ANBU captain. We have no reason to believe thats true... Thats like saying Shikamaru was Naruto's captain, just because he was a higher ranking ninja

When I first started watching Naruto, Kakashi was my favorite. Then for a long time he was me least favorite character. This chapter has redeemed him some IMO.

Also being an anbu captain at 13 years old should speak volume of his intellectual abilities as well as offensive power. I dont think it was implied that Itachi was leading Kakashi, as i believe Kakashi was a captain himself, but the difference lies in what Kakashi pointed out ;

The fact that Itachi was captain at 13 years old. Anbus are ur highest ranked ninjas tied with Jounins (Shikaku, Kakashi, Asuma). Itachi was leading these guys when he was still a child, leading people is not about offensive power, it's about leading a team. As shown with Shikamaru, it didnt matter if he was strong or not, he was assigned leader because he had the brain to do so. Itachi was leading the greatest out there and given Kakashi's reaction, i doubt he himself was a captain at such a young age. It had to be a hell of a feat to pull someting like this.

Itachi, Minato, Shikaku, Kakashi and Shikamaru are without a doubt the smartest of the serie, and the gap in their intellectual abilies is extremely small but i still think that the best Kakashi can hope to achieve is to equal Itachi. Itachi is without a doubt the wisest shinobi in Naruto, and because of this im also bound to believe that he is the smartest overall, specially with the praise he was given by the academy as well as the fact that he was captain of the anbu at 13.

And as it was pointed out before, Kakashi had 4.5/5 in Intellect in the first databook which is when he was 26 years olds and experienced. Itachi at 21 was already at 5/5 and there is no telling if that stat had just recently capped.

All these threads are based on Kakashi's Kamui against Tobi lol, Itachi owned Kakashi in part 1 where Itachi wasn't even TRYING to kill Kakashi because he was one of the good guys himself.

Besides Itachi's WISDOM owns the shit out of everyone in Naruto.
