Kharashi wins cose shika knows less about kharashi than kharashi knows about shika... and plus kharashi know over 1000 techniques and many of those techniques would be useful against shika in order to prevent him from concentration on his shadow jutsu

What's Shikamaru's resolve for Kamui?

Kakashi's kamui doesn't seem to be able to hit objects moving in an irregular pattern. Or to say he can hit things that stand still or move in a straight line.

But again, it's been said that Kakashi is on the same level as Shikamaru in intelligence. And the arsenal of jutsu's Kakashi got surpass' Shikamaru's jutsus.
Unless Shikamaru can somehow manage to take Kakashi with his shadow and do some sh**, I doubt that he can survive for long. But who knows, can't rly underestimate Shikamaru xd.
And ye, I know he took out Hidan, but Kakashi aint even close to that stupid or reckless.

Kakashi is NOT smarter
overall. Shikamaru cant win agenst the bug clan and ppl who have sharigan.

Kakashi could win without using his trump card mangekyu technique, but if he gets caught in the shadow technique he could resort to that. Shikamaru can't dodge crap well when he is using shadow possession and Kakashi doesn't have to have control over his body to use his sharingan.

I dont know i think Shika could have kakshi on his toes. Kakashi is smart but so is Shika, Because kakashi konws mad moves I'm sure or it butt Shika could use that to win the battle im sure of it.

i have said this many times before smart doesnt mean win

example: stephen hawkings is way smarter than me but in a fight i own him ever time see my point shikimarus dad is smarter than him but he can beat kakashi or gai he is there for strategy he is not really a fighter
