If the fight is close range, then neji will have a chance to incapacitate kakashi before he uses kamui. He has also jumped in the air to to perform mid-air rotations.
Sure neji has a chance to incapacitate kakashi, but kakashi has waaaay more chances to incapacitate neji. Kakashi is faster than neji, has better taijutsu than lee, and has the sharingan which is far better for movement perception/reaction than the byakyugan. Kakashi wins close range, and he wins even more long range.

When has he done that? I remember him doing this in a movie, but I not in the manga. And jumping in the air and doing it doesn't change anything. Anyone can predict the trajectory of an object once it has left the ground and has no means of changing direction/momentum in the air.

Neji's close range and hand speeds are incredibly fast with his pinpoint accuracy and devastating eight trigrams attacks. He only needs to stay in one spot and use spinning motions to help defend against kakashi's taijutsu.

Kakashi 's taijutsu is most likely not better than lee's since lee has trained taijutsu his entire life and has opened many more gates, a feat that only true taijutsu virtuosos could accomplish. Neji's taijutsu is considered to be the most deadly and he is also a master of it.

I am in agreement with the sharingan part, but it does not mean that he automatically wins in close range since it is what both neji and lee specialize in.

Also he necessarily doesn't need to use rotation for kamui, since it is only useful for warping away objects that are moving in a linear fashion.

If Kakashi didn't have MS it would be harder to decide because Byakugan is equal in power to a normal Sharingan. However, Kakashi would win regardless lol. It would just be closer if he didn't have MS.

You pretty much just described a typical hyuga's fighting style, which is what I have already factored in. Neji is not hitting kakashi without receiving a raikiri or an even more serious blow.

Manga states kakashi is better at taijutsu than lee is. As of now, we have only seen lee open 5 gates and we don't know how much kakashi can open, so saying lee can open more than kakashi is not concrete.

Next, lee only started training in Gai taijutsu once he became a gennin, before that even his taijutsu was just decent. Kakashi has been training in taijutsu far longer than lee has.

Neji's taijutsu is considered to be the most deadly and he is also a master of it.
Okay... so he will beat 7 gated gai also since his taijutsu is the most deadly

sharingan predicts movement. Naruto was blitzing sasuke at the valley of the end, naruto had way more speed than sasuke did, but once sasuke gained the three-tomoe sharingan, he started wooping naruto, despite naruto's massive speed advantage.

In this scenario Kakashi has both the speed advantage and sharingan. These guys will not hit kakashi without kakashi hitting them twice as much and twice as hard, and that is being generous.

Also he necessarily doesn't need to use rotation for kamui, since it is only useful for warping away objects that are moving in a linear fashion.
Yet a jump is horizontally linear, and vertically predictable. But I have to admit that kakashi has never kaitened a person in mid-battle before, so I say that he won't kaiten neji and lee if they are constantly pressuring him up close with taijutsu.

The best advantage kakashi holds is not only his speed/reflex/battle perception advantage over neji and lee, but he also has long range jutsu, and jutsu that will eat up taijutsu fighter:

i.e. raiton clone

Neji's gentle fist style is also a more of a defensive/countering style, hence will allow him to also evade attacks as well.

The third databook actually shows that their skill in taijutsu is quite even. We know that kakashi can't have opened as many gates as guy however, since only taijutsu masters are capable of such a feat. Kakashi may be very skilled, but his taijutsu is nowhere near guy's level. That being said, kakashi's speciality is with ninjutsu, whereas lee's speciality is taijutsu, meaning that kakashi would only be able to open a few gates, even with his experience. Kakshi may have trained for longer, but not in taijutsu like guy has, and lee's trainining has only consisted of taijutsu.

Kakashi doesn't have the speed advantage, and neji has the byakugan to always see where he will attack from and to counter using that information. Kakashi will be hit at somepoint since it is very difficult to keep up with two talented taijutsu fighters at once.

To avoid kamui, all you need to do is constantly be on the move, while attacking to keep him from getting any openings. kakashi is incapable of using kaiten. It is a hyuuga jutsu that only ninjas with their chakra control and skill can use, and even then most main branch members are incapable of utilising it since it is such a complicated jutsu.

The fact that he is also a long range fighter is one of the few advantages he has along with his battle experience.
